I was at Pechanga recently and got free internet access as a guest in my room, but as soon as I was in the ballroom they wanted $175.00 to let me use the same internet connection! I told them they were crazy and they said because technically it was a conference room. We were at a freakin Christmas party... I think their high! Does anyone know anyway around this for future reference? I am not forking over $175.00 for anyone just to log onto the internet for a couple minutes.

Of course I tried that. In the ballroom when I opened my laptop, their own homepage usurped mine and it demanded a username and password. If you ask me they shouldn't be alowed to stop me from using my own internet service that I pay for already... I's not like everyone in the room wanted to log on for business reasons. I was 1 person, that's it.

they usually put a block on it; however some hotels just tell people to pay because they will. Try to get online and see if it works! Sometimes you can catch it in the hallway...

it frequently ability they have wifi get properly of entry to (or a community cable in each and each room). they could have one pc someplace contained in the foyer so you might use to envision your digital mail to boot. once you've a computing device you should take it with. once you get there enquire about the get properly of entry to. they'll provide you a card that has a password on it. You bypass into your room and set up your computing device. it is going to %. up the wifi signal and connect. once you open your internet Browser it is going to ask for that password on the cardboard. have exciting!

That seems like splitting hairs and very unreasonable.
