They are already criminals and you want to reward them with automatic citizenship? NO NO NO! we already pay taxes for them to get welfare and food stamps, and guess who is going to have to pay for the amnesty process? Thats right! AMERICAN TAXPAYERS! Whoever supports amnesty must be a complete IDIOT

yes, as an American i DO support amnesty! why-bedause some of these ppl have been here for decades. I dont support amnesty for ALL immigrants, but yes for the ones who have adapted and adjusted to the American life & culture. Yes, many have children, cars & homes here and not all of them are on welfare (plus its the American children who receive gvmt. programs, not actual illegals who qualify). Yes, taxpayers pay for public services, but we pay for alot of other ridiculous taxes we have no say over. No its not right, but thats America. If illegal immigration was such a burden to the US than i garantee u, there wouldnt be millions of them here. FYI, do u know the costs of processing or applying for a visa/residency/citizenship? well it can go into the thousands for one person, so imagine the cost for a family (who gets the money uh gvmt.) Your taxes support everything & if your young enough u will probably never see SS monies, so deal w/it that America for you. Illegal immigration has both pros & cons, but it seems u just are pointing out the bad.

The ones supporting amnesty for illegals are the illegals, the illegal sympathizers, business owners, and the rich elite which include politicians and corporate executives. Most of the American citizens want these people deported. The government could deport these illegal invaders if it wanted to, but it does not. There is an agenda behind it. Once the United States is turned into a 3rd world country and the middle class is destroyed, the rich elite will have ultimate control of the population. This is the ultimate goal.

Though our government has managed may spectacular failures in its hitory, few have rivaled the debacle that was the 1986 Amnesty.

The idea was to grant Amenesty to the staggering 3 million illegal aliens in America at the time, in order to allow enforcement to focus on securing the borders and getting immigrants to come legally.

The Amnesty half of that was so successful that over 5 million of the 3 million illegals were granted Amnesty. (That is, another 2 million came out of the woodwork).

In the ensuing years, another 20 million illegals have poured across our borders - at least in part, in the hope that there'd be another such Amnesty.

For now, that's been blocked. But, if we ever want to stem the tide of illegal immigration, we have to make it perfectly clear that there will never be another Amnesty.

I don't support it I think it is a slap in the face for all those immigrants who come here the legal way. We have to start putting our foot down and crack down on the employers who are hiring the illegals. When they can't find a job they will have no choice but to go home. Enough is enough our government needs more soldiers on the borders cracking down on the people crossing the border illegally.

Let me ask you this. Are you, the American taxpayer, going to go out and do the jobs that they do for practically free? No? WEll allright then.

Are you, the american taxpayer, willing to pay the cost that it will take to deport the 11 million illegal immigrants in the country? Somehow, i doubt it.

When looking at the previous question I asked, are you taking in to consideration what all that costs? We put those people in our already overcrowded prisons, feed them, pay the electric bills, and then pay for the buses back. Plus, you will also be paying for the additional cost it takes to pay americans for the jobs that they do.

That's how i support amnesty. Not total amnesty mind you, but I'm willing to put them on the right path after they have paid a fine and were an otherwise contributing member of society.

You don't have a problem with paying for the welfare of Americans that are lazy and can't work. I'd personally prefer to deport all the people in this country who have never earned the privilege of being called an American. I know many immigrants that derserve to be here more than some americans.

I agree. You forgot paying for re-deportation (up to 20 times per person . .. they just arrested a guy in phoenix taht was here on trip 32) free housing, free healthcare, free registration and insurance (or un-prosecuted lack thereof).

The people who support amnesty are either vote whores or money whores. No one who has to a) live in it or b) wrestle it for jobs, housing, and income would ever fathom suppoting it. That includes all political parties.

And instead of taking away the 2nd amendment they should look into erradicating the 14th. Just being born here doesnt mean anything.

We don't support illegal alien border criminals getting amnesty. No way and I wish that the people who supported amnesty were just stupid. Unfortunately, they realize how destructive this will be to America and the American people and they don't care. One group the scummy slimy illegal alien border criminals hate Americans and don't care if it hurts them. The second group the loopy loony lying liberal democrats have been trying to destroy the American middle class for years. Only in desperation will Americans ever turn towards the democrats and their communist programs for help.

I dont think the democratic party expected this issue to be so important to the vast majority of Americans. It will be interesting to see how both parties squirm under the weight of growing pressure to secure our borders. I hope they are forced to answer these questions every day til November.
