They don't, because their education is, shall we say, sub-par.
They believe what they want, when a con-man at the pulpit tells them what and how to believe.
Sad little sheep that they are...
Ah, good old C.L. Richardson, always good for a laugh.
The kind of nervous laugh that escapes your lips when you realize he has the right to vote and drive a car....

Gravity is observable. I can take a pencil and let go and see it fall. But if I took a pencil and let it go and some scientist came by and said, "In fifty million years it will drop" I will have reason to doubt them.
Gravity has a mathematical equation though, evolution does not. Galileo said that mathematics was the language of science. How can evolution be credible science when it has no mathematical formula?

What science books are you reading?
Ever heard of the Newton's LAW of Gravity?
Mathematics develop theories (Such as general relativity) but the mathematics is concrete in its use.
One theory I'm developing, you don't read very much.
Good Luck

lol!!!
you interviewed ALL christians and ALL said they believe it is only a theory ? if not, than why ask this *question* ?
how come you pick and choose which faiths to offend? care to try a little antisemitism for a change ? did not think so...
christain bashing=last acceptable form of bigotry...
I. Newton was a christian, you mean he did not know about gravity and mathematics ?
EDIT: Canadian Atheist, " when you realize he has the right to vote and drive a car...."
did you just finish reading Mein Kampf ?

You need to read up on your physics. Gravity is not a theory it is a law. Hence The Law of Gravity.

Christians do this because people agree and disagree on everything based on their values, beliefs, and mindsets. It has nothing to do with a "sub-par" education, everyone sees some things as fact and some things as falsehoods. And, everyone has the right to argue for which they believe to be true.

I've wondered the same thing myself.
I'd like to point out that not all Christians deny science. It's just the creationists.

We all know that the illusion of gravity is caused by the vaccuum created by Satan flapping his wings while stuck in the ice of the lowest circle of Hell.

Gravity is a demonstrable fact, "Gravitational theory" attempts to explain it.
Thanks for listening.

I do not. But I don't need theories to justify a non-belief.
