A guy hit me on a highway and totaled my car (it was his fault). I went to the emergency room and I'm fine. I was driving my friend car and it was not insured. Will my friend get any money for the car from the other drivers insurance? will the other drivers insurance cover the emergency room?

The other guy is responsible for the damage to your car. YOU are responsible for your medical bills.
If the other guy is also driving without insurance, your friend likely will receive NOTHING.

Michigan is a No Fault state.
The other driver would have to carry Property Damage Protection coverage on his policy in order for you to be compensated for the damages. If the other driver does not have PDP Then unfortunately you are SOL.
Those are the chances you take while driving without insurance. Sorry

Do you own a car or have car insurance? If so - notify your carrier and let them know the car you were driving did not have insurance. I'm not familiar with Michigan law - but your policy may drop down to provide some coverage.

It really depends on if you were legally driving the car or not, since you're not in jail I would assume that you were legally driving it. If the police officer found the other guy at fault and no fault on you, his insurance has no choice to cover both your medical expences and your friend's car damages.

Nofault - you're uninsured! Your health insurance should cover hospital visit. Thats about it. Your option is to sue your friend.

guy2 insurance wont pay for your car but guy2 himself should pay for the car if you are legally driving the car. for your medical expenses it will depend on the parameters on who is insured on the guy2 insurance.
