like the little dot in between words, which is supposed to symbolize a space? Ahhh its driving me crazyyyy!! HELP PLEASEEE

Go to Tools menu | Options > View tab > under Formatting marks, remove the check button under Spaces and Paragraph marks > ok.

On the buttons tool bar there is a button that looks like a thick black backwards P. Click that and that will hide the editing marks.

and so in June 2014, this info was PRICELESS to me as the symbols that someone else had used & put on my Word on my computer, almost drove me to insanity LOL
