No, Suicide is the act of taking his own life for selfish reasons.
Jesus on the other hand gave His Life as he knew that the only way that the Sins of man could be atoned for and paid for was to Hold Himself responsible and take the blame for all the sins of mankind and suffer the penalty for it as we cannot, so He did what we could not.
This is called a sacrifice.

No, He didn't die out of selfishness like all other suicides (yes, suicide is an act of selfishness). He died knowingly as a sacrifice for others. If someone were to take a bullet for a friend, you wouldn't say they committed suicide, this is the same thing

You are right, he was, but no he didn't.
He came back to life remember.
He commited a great act of mercy by sacrificing himself, then while his body was 'dead' he went down to hell and locked satan up, then I think he set him free for awhile and then finaly destroyed him.
anyways, he did not commit suicide, because the SPIRIT God never actually died, and his body was killed by people, not by God, now if he had smited himself, maybe that would be suicide, and also very funny, as long as it wasn't true :)

If a man jumps on a grenade to save the other soldiers he is not seen to have commited suicide. He has saved others. It is a selfless act and is considered to be the greatest of self sacrifice. Christ jumped on a grenade of sorts to save every soul that lived or would ever live. Quite a grenade.

Jesus was NOT God in the flesh, and the Bible doesn't teach anything even remotely close to that.

Jesus is the first of God's creations. (Revelation 3:14) As such, he willingly accepted the assignment his God and Father gave to him to come down and offer his perfect human life as a sacrifice to get back for mankind what Adam and Eve lost......everlasting life. Adam cost mankind their perfection and eternal future by choosing to sin and disobey God. When that happened, the whole human race inherited sin and death because of their sin. Jesus, when he gave his perfect human life, gave the necessary sacrifice in order to redeem mankind and give those exercising faith in his sacrifice the opportunity to have their sins forgiven, to be reconciled to God, and to have the hope of living forever on the earth in perfection as they were intended.

Define suicide. Did Jesus kill himself?

there was no suicide , no death, and no sacrifice , he spent a few years on earth and then made such a dramatic exit for home that we are still talking about it today .

Suicide causes your own death. He was not the cause, nor did He take His own life. Not suicide at all. He was sacrificed for our sin debt.

No. He was killed by others. That isn't suicide. He knew he could have stopped it, but he didn't because of us. And he knew he would rise again. He didn't kill himself, others chose to kill him and he was born so that would happen.

It's fun to try and ask logical questions about the fantastical tales written down in this bronze-age text.
