You just did, Senator!
On purpose, I suppose, just to irritate those who love the English language, like me for instance!

Never. Sloppy spelling and grammar has made some questions impossible to decipher. Some of these people are really asking for help on an issue, and their inability to put a sentence together has hindered them to the point that they may as well be speaking in Martian.
Text messaging may be alright phone-to-phone, but on a website with questions and answers, texting is, again, indecipherable to anyone over the age of 14. If a person has a genuine question, they ought to be able to present it in a way in which others can understand and answer it.
If you can't express yourself adequately in your own language how do you ever expect anyone to understand you?

Occasionally; but in some cases the spelling and grammar is so awful that you can't even understand what the hell the person was trying to ask, if anything. At that point you might as well just sigh and resign yourself to making fun of them.

Nah, I am still proud of being a spelling bee winner over and over. I enjoy pointing out your bad spelling - I think I see at least 6 or 7 spelling and grammatical errrors in your question.

Yep, we all do. But when someone misspells common words, or writes a sentence that is nearly impossible to understand, he should be taken to task for it.
And Yahoo does offer a Spell-check system.

No, but my two cats sometime jump on my keyboard, retyping every profound and insightful answer I write, then 'submitting' it, causing numerous violations by Yahoo.
One cat is deaf and the other one just doesn't listen.

At times we ALL mis- spell or use incorrect grammar. Sometimes CORRECT grammar SOUNDS wrong, meaning we have used it all our lives!
My own pet hate is people who don't know when or how to use apostropies..... look anywhere!
