I am a single mother of four one who is deaf.
Anyways I just moved a month ago thinking things would be ok, but they are not they only seem to be getting worse & worse. I am absolutly stressing out & I dont know what to do.
Besides not being able to do anything for my kids for Christmas. Now my check didnt come in the mail so I wasnt able to pay rent, I am late w/no money.
I owe 175 on my eletric. I received a letter that once it reaches 245 that they can still shut me off during winter months.
Today I received a letter from my old landlord & he wont give me my security deposit back which I REALLY need. I have no money to get a lawyer not even 50- for small claims to fight it. He is making up all this stuff to keep it. I dont know what to do I am litterally stressing. If it wasnt for my kids that I love I think that I would go crazy. If anyone can please help me at all I would really appreciate it. If not can you atleast pray.Thank You so much & god bless

I will pray for you. In my state, when the temp falls below something like 40, the utilities can't be shut off. I recommend calling the utilities, and explain the situation. Most should be happy to work out a plan for payment, and some have assistance programs to help. Make sure you explain to your current landlord. I will pray you get your check, get your deposit back, and have favor with all concerned.

I understand. Life as a single-mom is never easy, and the more kids we have, the harder it is. You are right to turn to prayer. I'm praying and I hope a lot more people out there are also. The power of prayer does move mountains.

As for you utilities, go to you local public assistance office and see if they have applications for energy assistance. You should qualify for some kind of assistance. I can't imagine a 6 figure income in this case...but, I'll pray about it, and if God is willing, maybe you'll get a substantial pay increase.

Jennifer, my family is in the same situation this year. Dad stopped paying child support months ago, and my kids don't even have winter coats. There will be no traditional Christmas.

However, rather than stressing yourself, remember that Christmas isn't about the gifts, it's about family. I have nothing store bought for my children, but each night at dinner we write on a slip of paper something nice another family member has done, or a positive word about each other.

On Christmas morning, I plan to give these memos to my kids. I can't give them a material Christmas, but I'm hoping to teach them appreciation.

Good luck to you, and try not to worry. Things have a way of working out in the end.

Jennifer, I am praying for you. May God give you and your family joy and peace of mind this Christmas.

You can find free help for the problem with your landlord at Legal Aid and problems about your check can be handled free by a Medicare/medicaid lawyer. They take a percentage of your check one time as their fee. Please see Legal Aid and a a Medicare lawyer about your check money.

You can find some gifts at the Salvation Army or your local Christmas Connection has free toys. But as one other person wrote, Christmas is more about family and the birth of Jesus.

You receive by giving. Go to the Salvation Army and give your time in helping them in some way, even if you must take your kids along with you. By doing this, you will receive. I can't explain how exactly, but just do it and see what you receive.

Happy Christmas!

I will be praying for you too.
I know the feeling of wanting the kids to have a good Christmas the middle class suffers more than anyone...its sad. (((HUGS)))to you. I pray for Comfort ,Joy,and peace through out this Season. Things will get better and children tend to understand better when they grow up and appreciate the hard work and time you put into them.

Whoa, Have you ever heard of "Be still and know that I am God. Ps. 46:10. Jesus will return when it is time. There is nothing man can do to speed it up. There is work to be done, like getting the gospel out to the world and that is happening.Sorry to disagree with you, read the book of Revelation when Jesus returns, not the rapture, but to judge the world this world will be changed. As awful as it is to hear about child abuse and all the other terrible things in this world we must understand that this is the fallen condition we live in. It is our responsibility to help those in pain, not blame God. Save your breathe and stop yelling at God for the rotten world we live in, go help someone less fortunate and ask God to help you.

Trust in God. He can make a way a way out of no way! I've been so low that I thought I'd end up living on the streets...but He lifted me up and turned everything around and blessed me beyond belief. Stay in the Word...it is the breath of God.

Honey ,Jesus said "if you ask anything in my name I will do it."
Jesus is not a man that he can lie. Ask ,be very clear what you need. God will provide. Know many are lifting you up in prayer.
My poor mother suffered many years with no Christmases for her kids, we learned the truth about Christmas very early.
Jesus is coming again and soon. The body of Christ is being tried beyond measure. Keep the faith.
Contact your local church, ask for help. It is their calling.
love Funnana.
Merry Christmas<><

Just that you ask for prayer tells me that you are a true mother that loves her children. I will pray for you and continue to keep you in my prayers. I Know that all things will work out for you, I have had some tough times in my life raising my two kids without child support. Times are hard, but you will get through. Hold your little one close to you and pray, you can teach them to pray if you all kneel done and pray together. God sees and hears every prayer that is prayed.
May God Bless you and yours and God please watch over this family and give them peace help this mother, guide her with your nailed scared hands and show her the path she should take. Bless these children, give them warmth and food on the table. We ask this in your name Jesus and we thank you for it. Amen!
God Bless you, email me if we can do anything else for you.
