I know all about the supernatural powers and the "God's my father" rhetoric, ok, but what was the real motive by which Christ became subversive against the Roman Empire?
What was his political agenda?

Anarchist apparently. He was opposed to the Pharisees, who were opposed to Roman rule. He was also opposed to the Sadducees, who favored it. Political suicide.

Absolutely none, as far as earthly governments.

Two thousand years ago, people wanted to make Jesus Christ their king because they perceived that he had been sent by God and would make a most able ruler. Nevertheless, when Jesus discerned their intentions, he quickly left the scene. “My kingdom is no part of this world,” he later explained to a Roman governor. (John 18:36)

When Jesus Christ was on earth, he set higher standards for his followers, and he refused all involvement in political or military matters. After Jesus had miraculously fed several thousand people with a few loaves of bread and two small fish, Jewish men wanted to seize him and make him a political king. But Jesus avoided them by quickly withdrawing to the mountains. (John 6:5-15)

“There were fierce nationalistic longings among the Jews of that period, and doubtless many of those who saw the miracle felt that here was a divinely accredited leader, who was just the one to lead them against the Romans. So they set themselves to make him king.” Jesus “decisively rejected” this offer of political leadership. Christ gave no support to any Jewish insurrection against Roman domination.

On His agenda was the salvation of all humankind including you. And this is real and very serious. Save not only from eternal death but also slavery. He wanted everyone to be free, not slaves to Roman Empire or to Communism or to Democracy or to alcoholism or drugs or sexuality or money or to any other thing that may enslave a human being. He wanted us to be free and to have peace and joy.
He engaged in this struggle of ours and I see people only mocking... why don't they mock Zorro? Because they feel they are happy with the chains they are enslaved and are disturbed by this voice that announce a day when everyone will be judged.

Hope I helped.

Jesus held to a coming Monarchy.

Luke 19:12
Jesus said: “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return."

Revelation 11:15
...There were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”

His "agenda" was to do the will of His Father. This was accomplished by the finished work of the cross.

His political agenda, and of course He had one, was to restore the Kingdom of God on this planet. Jesus was and is a King (the King of kings.) That by definition is a political concept. He came to take back dominion and authority on this planet that was forfeited by Adam back in the garden.
Blessings.

None at all. For that matter, He rejected the very idea. He did not come for anything political, whatsoever.

You ever read His teachings and how He dealt with people? If you did, you would see, there was nothing political going on with Him, at all.

There are different techniques of finding at it. I used to combat with different the charasmatic men, so as that they used to assert there is an "AntiChrist" interior the assembly, each and every time i replaced into there. In a fashion this is right. Jesus Christ reported, "Love one yet another, as I easily have enjoyed you." earlier he replaced into to be crucified, and his apostles understood what he reported. We could do away with the Anti-Christ in us, and become greater like Jesus Christ. This buddy of mine went directly to become a clergyman, on a similar time as I grew to become a checklist. As a checklist., I easily have considered Shri Om Satya Sai Baba (a Hindu cult chief) who runs hospitals in India asserting he's doing charity paintings, easily is anti-Christ. he's anti-to the classes of Christ. So, he tells his docs, if a wealthy guy and a unfavorable guy come on a similar time, greater magnitude could take transport of to the wealthy. If a unfavorable guy is susceptible and loss of life, then do no longer waste time on him, and attend to the different guy who can herald greater helpful earnings and effects. i do no longer % any Catholic or Christian to stick to this type of coaching, using fact Jesus reported, there is greater desirable rejoicing in Heaven over one soul this is saved, than the different ninety 9 ones. So if a lamb is wounded and lost, Jesus will leave the ninety 9 relax, and bypass searching for it at evening and unknown to discover it and guard it. Jesus exhibits braveness and need right here. We could be fearful of being like this in genuine existence, yet that's what we could do to become like Christ. So, we become the residing physique of Jesus Christ.
