I wonder that myself. If someone professes to be Christian and they believe that Christ is their Saviour and Redeemer then they are Christian no matter what anyone else says. The rest is just semantics and interpretation.
EDIT: Isiss, we do believe the bible. I am currently reading the KJV old testament for 20 minutes a day. And we believe that scripture you are quoting. Anything to the contrary was the OPINION of someone, not a doctrine.

I have been very disappointed with the attitudes of the people who post responses to questions here, especially those that concern the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I feel that if someone wants to disagree with a religion, they should just stay away and not attack. Attacking what you don't know a thing about shows how ignorant you really are. I, for one, would just skip over a question rather than write a nasty response, attacking the asker.
No one has the right to attack anyone because of religious differences. The Bible teaches to turn the other cheek. As a Mormon I have been turning the other cheek to the point I have nothing left to turn, and I'm tired of it.
All I can say is that those who attack are far from being Christian.

Well, I am comfortable being judged because I know if my words are repeating God's word's then I know God will find no fault in what I say, so what I tell you now are not my words, but God's Word from the book of Galatians 1:8&9
"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."
The Mormon religon curses people to Hell because it is a "different gospel". You must repent and trust Christ alone without the works of the Mormon religion. I have the right to say this because it is not just a right but a command.
Mark 16:15 says:
"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."
So I must follow Christ and not only proclaim His gospel, but disclaim other false gospels as well.
as Ephesians 2:8&9 says:
For by grace are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
[9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.

I know who I am I know where I came from I knw where 'm going. That is why I'm thankful for this LDS faith. I am a Christian, I completly ignore other faiths who say we're no. It's not their right or authority to say we're not. I believeJesus looks like the wa artit Greg Olson portrays him...loving and knowing each and everyone of us. I believe in the SAME Christ who came to this earth to die for our sins and the same one who wants us to come live with himagain in Heaven. I know the Father, Son and spirit are all seperate beings. I know this life is test. I was given a sweet boy who happens to have Aspergers and ADHD. He is a challenge and I think that is my trial and He is watching me to see if I can handle it. Sometimes it feels like it is too much and I'm going to break, but hen I get on my knees and pray and I am then comforted by the Holy Spirit who givs me that strength to keep going.
There will always be people that question our faith. Perhaps those are the people who look up anti type lds things on the computer instaed of looking on lds.org or contactingtheir local missionaries. You can't believe hearsay. In fact there are other supposed Christain churches that have monthly classes on how to put us down or to make up lies about our faith and ten spread it like wildfireas gossip. There is a scripture that talks about those who will know their God. Well if mose people would give our church a chance instead of being "scared" of it would understand that this is the church that Jesus Christ intended to be on the earth. A church that tells of the life before we were on this earth, why we're here and what we are supposed to be doing while we're here so we can be worthy to return to Him. I can't just sit here doing nothing and expect to be let in "th gates". We need to be always serving, obeying the commandments, loving our neighbors, having families and bringing children up righteously, etc. This world is going to get more evil by the ways of man constantly wanting to change good into evil, and I'm thankful for my church and it's very importnant teachings. Just like Jesus Christ, Joseph Smith could've stopped the beatings and ridicule but he knew what he knew an saw what he saw and could not deny it. I can't do that either.
Not only is Mtii Romney a finanial genius, he can give moral values back to America

No. Christ said if you judge, be expected to be judged the same way. The Bible says we shall judge angels. If you believe Jesus came as the Messiah, that He died and rose from the grave, and that He is God and is now sitting in heaven with His Father, then yes, you are a Christian.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a Sect of the Church of Christ which is a Sect of the Protestant church, thus, it is in every way, shape, and form, clearly a Christian Denomination.
But, we live in the good old U.S., and thus, anyone can say pretty much anything they want, about anybody, by right; though, it does not necessarily make them right.

It really depends on someones definition of Christianity. Some Christians might say that a Christian is someone who believes that God was *never* a man.
According to this definition, you are not a Christian.
Other Christians might say that anyone who believes in Jesus is a Christian. According to this definition you are a Christian.
What gives you the right to say one persons definition is wrong and another persons is right?
I suppose it's the fact that you feel that there are mistakes in the Bible.

If you're a latter-day saint, does that make me an earlier-day saint? Just what criteria am I going by to be so pretentious as to call myself a "saint", anyway?
To clarify, I'm not saying you aren't a Christian--I'm not one of those holier-than-thous. I'm just wondering what basis you're using to claim the "saint" title.

There are theological standar ds to basic Christianity such as the Nicene Creed which are rejected by Mormonism.
Out of courtesy I think that people can call themselves anything they want to but theologically LDS Mormonism(unlike RCoJCoLDS/CoC) is closer to polytheistic/henotheistic Christo-Gnosticism than to Historic (Trinitarian) Christianityor even to Judaism or Islam ,the other Abrahamic Monotheistic religions.
Sociologically and culturally Mormonism is Christian and even Protestant but not theologically .
I like Mormons that i know and respect them, but I see their religion as alien to Historic Christianity.

that's a good question...because what I knew of the religion was that the first leader of the Mormons had a vision and created this religion that was Christian plus the new vision that the leader had....
and because of that I had always considered Mormons Christians plus an American vision to make their doctrine work....
