She thought the shirt was wrinkley, buy it wasn't and it was a shirt underneath a button down shirt.

I can only think of one reason: that she thought it was inappropriate....... was the comment good or bad? I don't think that kind of topic would come up in a review unless the boss thought something was wrong with that shirt, or if they have a friendly relationship she could have been trying to flatter her..... but that's more improbable.

Maybe she had the same shirt. A lot of women just think out loud... she may have recognized it, and then just started talking about it. I wouldn't read into it. Unless she said something like "I'd like to see what's under that shirt".

Could you add more detail to give us an idea about what the comment was? The way your question is phrased, I'm not sure if the comment was, "That shirt is inappropriate for the workplace, " or "I have one like that at home."

Some women are brazen (ok, yeah some men, too) and think their opinions are desired and needed by all. I assume it was a criticism of your clothing; if it was a compliment, then you should be pleased. Your question wasn't very complete.
