I doubt it. Hair dyes have been found to cause cancer - black hair dye causes bladder cancer - and studies have been published about this, though you need to check out The New Scientist for details. Hair color is more a cultural thing - people are into the Barbie look and sales of bleach for the hair have always been high. You might like to investigate the popularity of different hair products in various countries as a cultural phenomenon.
