I think that the church and the state should remain separate from each other because they are not intrinsically connected. Also the government should not force beliefs political, religious or otherwise on their people. Finally I disagree with the Separation of Church and State at a legal level (in America) because it is not in the Constitution, it was created as legal precedent by the Supreme Court. The only regulation should be that the government can make no law concerning religion.

No, yes because if there was no seperation of church and state it would be difficult to have freedom of religion because you would have religious laws forced on the people not of that faith. Look at the lack of civil liberties in islamic states especially when it comes to womens rights.

The only writing I want my government based on is the constitution.

i don't want a church in the government, religion as no place there look at countries like Iran or Iraq

If the church ever gets its hands on the state, I'm likely to be in trouble, as an atheist.
The Pope's recently said how much he loves us atheists, too!

Christians may participate in government if they choose, but we are not at liberty to allow non-believers to participate in ministry.
