I have absolute faith in God that I believe is the Supreme Being, being the nucleus of the universe. But I have also observed that blind faith built in us during our earlier formative years does not help us in the application of our mind intelligently and kills or struts our personality. If you look around you will see more of these types of generation-debilitated personalities that create disharmony among mankind. Does blind faith help? If so in what way? May I have an answer that can guide me in right directions?

Depends on what or who you put your faith. Many have "strong faith" but not so many put it in God.

The bible tells us that Jesus came to give us life and that to the full - no stunted growth of personality. Total freedom to be ourselves. So faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob BUILDS. This applies to Jews as well as Christians. This faith even allows us to live in harmony with those around us, loving them and wanting what is best for them.

Other faiths don't do this. These 'faiths' impose their beliefs at the point of a gun and kill those who disagree. These faiths KILL.

Blind faith contributes to both. Faith can build the individual by instilling a strong moral sense and purpose in life. Faith can build the society by uniting individuals together under a common belief. Faith can "kill" by creating either a moral sense that is against that of the society at large, thus metaphorically killing the individual or causing the individual to literally kill to support his or her religion. Also, faith that encourages the individual and/or society to never question but rather to only to follow definitely kills their growth. Faith can "kill" a society or culture by either creating dissonance and thereby metaphorically killing it, or it can cause the society to become warlike towards neighbors for being different. Faith, even blind faith that builds a sense of togetherness or community builds; but that same faith, when taken to the extreme (the us-versus-them mentality), as we have already seen, most assuredly kills.

P.S. Blind faith can be interpreted one of two ways. 1. All faith is blind, as part of the definition of faith... if there was widely accepted proof, then it would not be faith. 2. Faith that is believed in for the sake of believing in it; for example, a child may have faith in his or her religion because he or she goes to church or is expected to follow the religious doctrine without having a full grasp or understanding of the religion. Either definition can be used in the paragraph above.
