I believe God. Homosexuality is wrong because God said it is wrong. I don't go against the Word of God.

It is hard to me to separate myself from Scripture, as I consider it part of me. But if you want my gut feeling apart from Scripture, I would have to say it seems to go against nature. If all were strictly homosexual, there would be no continuation of the species.
And yes, I do feel the Bible says homosexuality is wrong. No, I do not pick and choose what parts of the Bible to believe, and have spoken out against that very thing. As a sinner, I too fall short of the glory of God and require a Savior.
There is a difference between calling something a sin and saying we all struggle against sin, and calling something "an alternate life style".
I do NOT believe we can condone those that like to rob convenience stores by saying they have "an alternate lifestyle" and it is therefore not a sin. The same would go for homosexuality.
That being said (and I know I Will get blasted for it!), allow me to say that homosexuality is no greater a sin than any other. Christians in general have not done well in hating the sin and loving the sinner when it comes to homosexuality. There ARE ex-gays that have been able to leave the allegedly genetically predisposed lifestyle. 1 Cor. 6:9-11 even hints that gays CAN change. (See "I LOVE TO READ BOOKS" above. I gave U a thumbs up)
OK, let the blasting begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way, sins committed in thought are still sins. Like lust in Matt. 5:27-28.

I think that homosexuality can have a variety of causes. Studies show that something like 80% of men who classify themselves as being homosexual either had and abusive or distant father or a domineering mother. It seems like some other people are just born with an attraction to members of their same sex.
So is it "wrong"? It's wrong not only because it goes against God's plan for human sexuality but because it is a biological dead end. It's a part of the curse that came upon humanity when sin entered into this world. I don't look down on homosexuals, just like I don't look down on fornicators. But I do know that it is God our Creator who decides what is right and wrong and if anyone disagrees with Him they are fighting a losing battle.

Well, I know as Christian and with my Christian beliefs, I think it goes against the bible, yes. But Jesus loved and helped everyone. That's the main problem with Christians today, the have a tendency to SELECT who they want to bring to God rather than the love and kindness that lost people are searching for. But yeah, I don't agree with it, but I don't look at homosexuals differently at all.

i know what the bible says and so do u. But personaly im for homosexuality. I see nothing wrong with it. But to add another question to your thinking. God made us how we are. And science has proven that some (not all) poeple who are a homosexual are born like that. So if the bible says its bad but god makes how we are then is the bible wrong?

A Christian is a devoted follower of Jesus- so as a follower I must believe what Jesus teaches- and homosexuality is wrong- HOWEVER- that does not mean I would not still treat that person with love and respect. I know quite a few Christians who say that they are homosexual, but never act on that- so that is find- however acting on any sin is wrong- not just homosexuality.

Homosexuality is definitely wrong and anyone who studies the Bible knows it is an abomination in the sight of God.
I have to agree with God on anything because He knows everything far better than any human will in this life or the life to come.
TJ -- the Bible doesn't say we aren't to judge. It commands us to "JUDGE RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT." It further states that "He who is spiritual judges all things." Jesus said that we would know a tree by its fruit when referring to others.
To tell homosexuals they are going to Hell without offering them a chance to repent of this evil is wrong, but if they are adamant in refusing to accept the claims of Christ and the commands of God they need to be warned of the wrath of God abiding on them.
For those who think there is such a thing as a homosexual Christian -- you are sadly mistaken. "If any man be in Christ he is a new creature -- Old things are passed away -- behold all things become new." 2 Cor. 5:17 - This means that the desire to sin is replaced with a desire to love, trust and obey God and forsake sin including the sexual lust involved in homosexuality. To continue in this lifestyle would be to justify sin and God will not honor anyone who persists in it.

This is a very complex issue, but I have experience here so maybe I should share. There is no such thing as a homosexual. God made everyone heterosexual. Some people go through experiences when they're young, which make them have same sex attraction, and when they look at the society, they automatically accept what is said and call themselves "gay." I used to consider myself gay, but now I know the truth. EVERY single person who calls themself "homosexual" has either had no father when they were younger, has been sexually abused or something like that. People are lied to by society and unfortunately, they accept the title they are given. Everyone has issues and some people have issues by being attracted to the same sex. It doesn't mean that they should act on that. I think that they should pray and seek help. Other people have anger problems and such. Although most Christians don't know alot on this topic, I do because I've been there and still have same sex attractions but it's okay because God loves everyone. I think we, as Christians, should stop criticizing those who call themselves homosexuals and learn to love them and help them. Our God is a God of HEALING... and we often forget that. People who choose to remain celibate aren't HOMOSEXUALS. We very often take what the media and society gives us and just go along our way. We can't let society define us, we should let GOD define us. I think this issue is covered up alot and dismissed by saying "It's wrong." but no one looks into it alot. I thank God for this, even though it's a very hard struggle but I know that God is going to use me to raise awareness in the Church, the body of Christ. I urge you guys to help me as well.
