i got them pierced with titanium.
my mom and dad had a history of being allergic to a lot of metals, but my mom couldn't remember what she was definitely allergic to, nor could my dad.
so i had to see for myself what i was allergic to, and the lady at the counter told me people are mostly allergic to nickel; and that titanium is another better choice.
my ears are still swollen more than usual, and only get red when i twirl them. they hurt a little when i twirl them.
i have been cleaning them regularly, too.

do you think that i am allergic?
if i am, what should i do?

Titanium is quite safe and very few people are allergic to it.

It is more likely to be the initial inflammation from the actual piercing itself.

Another alternative is that it might in fact be an infection - a common adverse effect of piercings.

If it is indeed an infection, you may need some antibiotic medications.

If it is an allergy, you might need antihistamines or other medications that dampen down allergic reactions.

If it is only a little red and inflamed, then you might prefer to just watch and wait and see what happens. I think this is what you are describing, and this is PROBABLY what you ought to do.

However if it is very red, very inflamed, very sore - you should probably see a doctor. Also see a doctor if you are getting fevers or finding purulent discharge (i.e. pus) coming out from your ear.

If you are having breathing difficulties, phone for an ambulance at once.

15% of women are allergic to nickel. I am severely allergic. Even holding someones gold jewelry too long causes a bad rash. Titanium should be fine, but I personally choose sterling silver. If you are having a real problem, you can get most jewelry coated in rhodium.

Your ears will take 2-6 weeks to heal. I think you're fine and just need to give it some more time.

Infection is marked by redness, puss or itching (without you doing anything to make it happen). What makes it confusing is that it will do a little of all of this during the healing process. The biggest thing is to look for symptoms that seem to be worsening, that would spell an allergic reaction. Also try a little Neosporine that always healped me the most. They next couple of days should tell you a lot.

it extremely is barely a piercing, won't be able to you wait until your sixteen? you may harm you father and mom emotions in case you go at the back of their backs. No i does not harm. there is greater of a huge gamble of your ears getting contaminated in case you get it pierced with a gun, it extremely is appropriate to get it carried out with a needle (frightening i understand) even though it particularly does not harm, for a chop up 2nd it hurts a tiny bit yet then the ear is going numb. Gok Wan has stretched ear lobes, so except your making plans to stretch your ears, i could choose for the stud. stable success on despite you choose.

If they were pierced with a "gun" then that could easily be the reason that they are still swollen. Some tenderness isn't uncommon at all at 48 hours. If the symptoms get worse or persist, you would want to contact a doctor to have it looked at. If the infection gets into the cartilage, it can cause deformation or worse.

Yes, you are allergic! Go and take them out and take a Benedryll Also, wait and let them heal and get at least 14 carrot gold. Most people aren't allergic to that.

I don't think you're allergic, it's a little too soon to tell. I would just wait it out until they're healed some more. Then check them out.
