Lets say your a open person who is attracted to any race, color, look, and etc. Your crush is a different "race" than you. Would you fear that he/she would believe stereotypes about your group?
Example: I'm Asian and I have a crush on a Caucasian girl from class. I'm worried she would assume I'm a nerd, reserve, a foreigner (I'm not one), a martial arts master, a dog eater, or whatever. Even if she doesn't express it, what if she keeps these in mind about me?
Is it normal to think someone will judge you by your race?
Thank you for reading.

I doubt that she will feel that way about you. You're a
really nice guy,so she probably likes you.Don't stress over it.When I was in middle school, everybody judged me by my race.I was the only white girl in most of my classes.I still had lots of friends there were disses and stuff like that but if you have a good character, like me, you'll make it.She wouldn't judge you if she liked you personality.

Stephanie

Ignore what that nasty woman said. I don't know what your size is, but the only guys who even need "big ones" (no matter what race they are) are the ones who have no charm.
Now, to answer your question. Yes, your feelings are normal. You and I are both Americans. But I'm a really white American (almost hillbilly, but I don't have the accent). I hang out with a lot of Japanese students. Sometimes I worry that Asians might suspect me of being arrogant, violent, wild, egocentric, self-richeous, lazy, uneducated, and dirty....which is how a lot (but not all) white Americans are.
If your crush is worthy of your affection, she won't see your race as an issue.

In this day and age, I think it has to do more with physical attraction. There are certain races that (as a very generalized statement) I'm not particularly attracted to, although there are always exceptions... I don't think about them in any particular stereotypical way re: what they eat, their hobbies, etc, just whether I'm physically attracted to the physical attributes their race gives them. I'm sure, if you're American and have no foreign accent, that she wouldn't assume you're into certain things... although she might be curious about your family and where they came from.

Wow i'm a lot such as you. clever, not ghetto, gamer, knowledgeable and a black woman. I see the place you're coming from. i think of i'm very fortunate on the relationship however. My ex is somewhat of a gamer, anime/manga lover, has some intelligence even however he could nicely be selfish and conceited at cases. the two my ex and modern boyfriend is darker than me. My modern boyfriend who's my husband-to be is likewise a gamer, anime/manga fan, and clever like me. that's a great element because of the fact there is much extra stuff we've in basic. We evaluate one yet another as soul buddies :'D.

I have a crush on anyone (men, women, different races, the married, single) that i find physically attractive and discrimmination is one of the things i worry about. Also, I worry about homophobia and just the fact that they think that i'm not good enough for them.

I think that you have low self-esteem issues. That is why you are obsessing over what other people might be thinking about you.
Quit acting like a winnie and get over it. She will believe those sterotypes only if YOU bring them up.
====edit===
Your last comment made it clear that YOU are the one who believes all those racist sterotypes. You are projecting your racism onto everyone else.
I doubt that your white gf is racist. Why would she be? just because she is white?

I'm Asian too. But I don't like anyone now. But I used to. He thought I was a nerd and weird but he was nice and sooner or later, we got to be good friends. But you can go deeper, not to sound gross.

I think it's because you're not white that you are afraid of discrimination. If you had blonde hair and blue eyes you wouldn't be worrying about this. You secretly feel inferior to her that is why you are so scared.
