I ain't a sinner if you know what i mean, but Crimmson lay off the gay rhetoric please as you will hurt a lot of people. You should judge each person on who they are rather than use a book as a reference point.

Great observation!
I am (not being able to find a better word to describe it) a "formerly gay", or "ex-gay" Christian, and I do agree with you concerning the incompatibility of these two terms. And just as you admit to struggle with sin, and succumb at times, but are eventually, if not readily, willing and able to repent and to get beyond the particular sin issue in question in your life, I do too. It is why I can say today that I am no longer gay, even though I do struggle with same sex attractions once in a while.
I liken this to those who sexually-identified as straight, then become a Christian. Are they still straight? I think not, in the very sense that we are not be identified by labels involving our old lives, to which I believe you have made explicit here. They are now to be reckoned as "dead", so why would I want to give life to a label that really no longer even describes me? Would you still call a Christian man who's been happily married for 20 years "straight"? To me, to call him this is to imply that although he has been hopefully faithful to his wife all those years, he must still be identified with desires for other women, other than his wife? That just doesn't make any good common spiritual sense to me. In the same way, since I am committed to the Lord in my celibacy, for the last umteen years, how could it be correct to say that I'm a "gay" Christian? The Bible makes it clear that we are not only to identify ourselves by whom and with whom we associate ourselves, but also by our personal conduct in life, both private and public, and not some lame sexual desire that has its roots in the Adamic fallen nature!
So, I am in full agreement with you. And, again, wonderful observation on your part. Apparently, the reason for this incompatible, and therefore false, identification of oneself has all to do with the pro-gay propaganda implications that gays cannot experience any change, if not being born that way. Of course, the Bible says that this is not true, "...and such were some of you." (1 Corinthians 6:11) and scientific research corroborates this truth (Bailey and Pillard monozygote studies in the 90's, Jones and Yarhouse, 2007). It is why gays I believe they make this false distinction with other sexual inclinations.

Gay Christians, Fornicating Christians and all Sinning Christians need to get their lives right, because Christ will be returning soon. Your sexual promiscuity is not worth losing your soul over and ending up in hell. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom so we need to start believing what God says to do and do it.

Not the same, but who goes around saying that he or she is a Fornicating Christian.
A self-indentified Gay Christian may be simply saying he or she is attracted to same sex others.
Straight Christians have boyfriends/girlfriends with whom they are chaste.
Same is true of Gay Christians.
Maybe Gay Christians want the right to marry eventually so they won't have to fornicate.
Then again, you may be of the opinion that the mere fact of their sexual orientation makes gay people inherently sinful.
Oh, but then don't Christians believe that all people are?

You totally miss the point!
Being Gay is NOT a sin. And nowhere in the Bible does it say so.
There are also many of us CHRISTIANS out here who also believe that being in a committed gay relationship is NOT sinful either.
Again the Bible says nothing about this either !
But it DOES say a lot of things about love. And a loving committed relationship is a good thing and brings us closer to Christ.

You are right. Both labels indicate the presence of sexual sin. To label yourself as a particular type of sinner doesn't justify the behavior. All of us have problems to correct and we can accept each other knowing that we are all imperfect. There is no special category for Christians carrying a special type of sin as if Jesus prepared a separate mansion for all Christians with that particular sin. The truth is that no unclean thing can enter into the presence of God. Each of us must repent or our imperfections and accept Christ's atonement on our behalf. We are cleansed through baptism by immersion by those having the authority to perform the ordinance and then manifesting afterwards our commitment to Christ by obeying His commandments and enduring to the end.

That is true. (I think it would be more accurate to say that such a person is gay and a Christian, or a fornicator and a Christian, as the one is exclusive of the other, and, the presence of the title "Christian" serves to null the significance of the other description, whether or not you care to use it).
Of course, being gay is slightly different fornication, because being gay ingrains itself into your identity, whether due to natural reflection of one's own desires or due to culture, whereas, on the same note, fornicator's usually do not idenify themselves with such a trait, for whatever reason.

It sure is. How can you be a gay Chriustian and live in sin ? It can't be done. We know if a gay doesn't change where they and his/her partner will go. You have to feel very sorry for them because they are in love and I guess it's hard to leave a loved one. But, for me I'd rather live with the knowledge of being gay and NOT participating in a homosexual relatioonship. than go to hell. My opinion.

I think you have said it right and I will add to it that they seem to be proud of it also and think they can prove everyone wrong by saying they are Christians but what really matters, is your name written in the book of life. We are all sinners but we do not have to live in sin but we need to hate sin and these people seem to think otherwise. The bible God's Word will judge them for what they try to prove by using it incorrectly

No.
Saying you're a gay christian is saying that you were introduced to sex at an early age through either rape, molestation, pornography, or child on child molestation, and as a result of that, you have sexual identity issues. Further, that you have been lied to about the nature of reality, that you are a victim of your religious environment, and that you lack the ability to logically discern reality from fantasy. Basically, you are mentally ill, probably schizophrenic, and you need treatment for that, as well as the sexual abuse and results of it.
Ask a stupid question, get a terrifyingly accurate answer.
Thanks, I'm here all week.
