my bud is a sophomore in high school along with me, and he is dating an eighth grader...whats your thoughts?

Well, it does sound weird and I'm not saying it's okay. But think about this... My mom got married when she was 17 to my dad who was 27 which means when my dad was 16 my mom would've been 6 years old. They've been married for almost 30 years. Sometimes it works out. I think it depends on whether or not the relationship is sexual. I was 15 when I met my husband who was 19 at the time. We did not have a sexual relationship until after we were both married. I think it depends on the people.

It would depend on how old the eighth grader is. Did she have to repeat a grade. If that is the case and they are only one year apart its not creepy. Two years apart really isn't that bad.

its only two years, ppl make such a big deal about age in high school, but then when u get older there are couples getting married like 10 years apart. As long as their maturity level is the same i don't see a problem w/ it.

If they really like each other. Same thing with this kid on my bus. Brandon is a softmore and Jamie is a eight grader. They are madly in love and plan on getting married.

I'm 18 and yeah I'd feel weird dating any girl who's 3+ years younder than me.........High School ppl should date high school ppl or not date at all......Focus on school!

it is because shes in eigth grade, but then again it isnt really, because theres only a two year age difference and when your in grade 9 its alright to date an 11th or 12th grader

It depends on the girl and him. They could easily be the same mentality. If they get along and are matured the same then it isn't a problem.

No it's not creepy it's probably a non sexual relationship and more of a emotional relationship as most young people have.

there's a limit for weird dating ages, and it's only 2 years, so it's fine, I guess.
