Surely the joy of a special day comes from knowing it is exceptional? When a warm day follows cloud, or your birthday comes after just another day at work, you appreciate it. Is Heaven designed to take that all away? It just isn't possible to know what is good if the state remains constantly the same. We need darkness to value the sunshine.

Great question!

Is Heaven designed to take that all away?

In my view based upon all that I can see with what is available the design of heaven is to make every day a new, perfect experience in an endless eternal state of having each new moment as better than the last moment experienced. As an Elohim and given the responsibility of an entire Solar system, one will never have an opportunity to do anything but look ahead to the new experiences that lie ahead.

Each Elohim being a light in himself, the appreciation of the "sunlight" will be a part of the pure innate nature and a clear state of being in existence.

My friend, just look at the 4th word in a Bible in Genesis 1:1 which says in the English version: "In the beginning, 'ELOHIM' created the heavens and the earth". It is all clearly stated right there for those who do have their eyes open and do seek clear understanding.

Ha Ha Yes, even a Bad Liberal can see that clearly so I am sure all can likewise see it.

Do have a great day and I did star this one my friend.

I think you stumbled on a very profound truth. Common to all Mankind. Congrats! What a lovely thought. And even if we don't earn it, it's just as wonderful to those who are grateful. Do I hear an AMEN? But Heaven is supposed to be better than this world. Could you stand the thought of it being NOT? That is why GOD is good. He has mercy on those who are willing. It's only as hard as learning to trust...

"What a beautiful day it is today!" Is in the near future, it will be what Adam & Eve could have had, but did not because of disobeying God.

What Is God’s Purpose for the Earth?

WHY do you enjoy walking in a park or strolling through a field of sweet-smelling flowers? Why is it that your spirits soar when you see a beautiful lake or towering mountains with their peaks in the clouds? Why do you stop to listen as birds sing their cheery songs in the treetops? And why is it so pleasant to watch a graceful deer bounding along or a flock of sheep grazing in a meadow?

There is one answer to all these questions. We were made to live in Paradise! That is where our first parents, Adam and Eve, began their life. We got our desire to live in Paradise from them, and they got it from their Creator, Jehovah God. He knew that we humans would be happy in Paradise because he created us with the qualities needed to enjoy such a wonderful earthly home.

Why did Jehovah create the earth? He “formed it even to be inhabited” by humankind. (Isaiah 45:18) “The Maker of the earth” gave Adam and Eve a beautiful paradise home, the garden of Eden. How they must have enjoyed its streams, its flowers, its trees! Graceful birds could be seen in the sky, and animals of various kinds roamed the land, none of them a threat to humans. Fish and other creatures moved about in earth’s clear, clean waters. Best of all, Adam and Eve were together. They could bring forth their kind and expand their Paradise home in joyful association with their growing family.

Although the earth is not a paradise today, it can be compared to the fine home of a happy family. Our God-given global home has what we need, light, heat, water, and food. How we appreciate the sun’s light and heat and the moon’s soft glow at night! In earth’s cellar there are fuels, such as coal and oil, that we can use for heating. Because of the water cycle and earth’s system of rivers, lakes, and seas, we have water. And as a carpet, the earth has green grass.

Just as food may be stored in a home, there is plenty in earth’s pantry. By means of crops in the fields and fruit in the orchards, Jehovah ‘gives us fruitful seasons and fills our hearts with good cheer.’ (Acts 14:16, 17) Since the earth is already such a fine home, imagine what it will be like when “the happy God,” Jehovah, makes it a paradise!

Huh???

When I'm in heaven, I'll be able to say "WOW! What an incredibly beautiful day we have today!"

What's wrong with that?

Or did you confuse heaven with hell?

What will be missing from heaven will be sin and wicked people doing wicked things, such as child abuse, stealing, murders, wife beating, et cetera.

I do NOT need to have those kinds of things happening to appreciate good, clean living! And if YOU need them to appreciate the good, then there's something seriously wrong with you!

Good requires the existence of Evil.

I guess they will just look over the edge of the clouds and see all of us, with some of their family members being tortured, and say, phew thank God I chose the right path.......

I personally couldn't worship something so violent and cruel.

I know what you mean. If everyday is a sunny day...then what the hell IS a sunny day? How do you define it? To what do you compare it to?

Good point. In fact, there would be no discernible difference between heaven and hell.

I like to say that perfection is unattainable and even if you had it you wouldn't want it.
