Sorry, So I like this girl at work, and I'm trying to figure out whether or not she likes me, I don't usually have any problems asking anyone out but it is because she works with me and it might be awkward if she says no etc..

anyway we were talking the other day and I said "What are you getting your boyfriend for Christmas?" then she said "I don't have one, I only seem to attract losers"...she also was talking about being alone in a jokey kind of way too, then later she asked me if I had a girlfriend or not to which I replied no...are these sure fire signals she is interested, or was she just making conversation?

Well more stuff to add, didn't really get a chance to ask today, but she came up and asked me if I was going to the Christmas Dinner, I said "I'll go if you go" hoping to make my intentions clear, and she was like "yea I'll go if you go too"...so basically I'm still confused she could be just being friendly or she could be interested I just don't know...but we'll see...

"I don't have one, I only seem to attract losers"...

I would think that what she is trying to say is that all her previous boyfriends weren't what she expected them to be in the end and that it didn't work or they might've cheated, lied, etc. that sort of thing.

Only my opinion; but i think she might be interested or else if she wasn't, she would have said something about wanting to be single for awhile or making up excuses when bringing up the Christmas Dinner thing.

We are very hard to read so there could be several interpretations on her words and actions. I used to like a co-worker and I asked him and he turned me down. We remained friends though and he sometimes jokingly hits on me but I'm no longer interested in him. She could be friendly about the Christmas dinner or she may not be. Say, hey why don't we go to the dinner together. Suggest to meet up there. Try the good old "Want to have coffee together sometime?" or "Want to hang out after work?" If it turns out she only sees you as a friend, don't sweat it. But good luck all the same.

She's the one throwing out "okay" signals. You need to be man enough to step up and ask her to the dinner. Tell her you can pick her up like a real date or meet her there and go slow. Either way you give her a choice but it's still to be with you. She's waiting for you to ask or make the move, believe me!

It seems like it is going to be a really nice Christmas for the both of you.
Go shopping, buy a nice new shirt or have your good blazer dry cleaned for the party. Get a haircut and look good. See her eyes light up when she sees you. She will know that you dolled up for a date with her.

She's interested, but she wants you to do the asking. She wants to go to the dinner; suggest you "couple up" for the do and take it from there based on how she acts.

The alone talk = I'm available. The jokes = I don't want to look desperate.

It sounds like she is interested. As far as joking about being single and attracting losers it may sound like she wants a good man in her life.

I approach every girl i like by starting to be friends with her. Because you never know if she is really the type of person you like, unless ur looking for temporary relationship. but long term or short, i would always befriend the person i like, and try to find more about the person.
either she loves you as a friend or wants to date, it doesnt really matter. as long as you get to know her and vice versa. and this might develop into a serious relationship.

OMG dude!!!! She is sooooooooo interested. I'm a girl. I really should know. Girls only joke about being interested when
A: They are with their girlfriends and are jealous that they all have boyfriends when she doesn't or
B: When she's interested in someone and telling them that they have a open shot.

GoGo!!!!! Don't miss your chance!!!!

Aww it sounds like she likes you. You both don't have anyone, so you should go out! Don't beat around the bush. Just ask her out. That is so sweet :) Just be careful to be professional at work.

Uh... Its really easy to get thrown in the "friends category" but, you're on the right track man. Just keep chipping away at it. She seems to be trying to chip away at you. Go to the dinner man!
