Who says that anything has to be wrong?
Hon, all manner of things cause depression.
Don't get depressed about being depressed, first of all.
Life isn't all that and a bag of chips, don't let anyone kid you.
Being depressed is normal, being suicidal isn't uncommon either. Hurting yourself is NOT good or normal.
Can you seek help? I don't mean clergy or people like that, I mean intelligent trained professionals. Don't seek happiness in drugs, legal or otherwise. They just mask the symptoms and don't treat the problem.
Good luck. I have been suicidal many times in my life. Embracing atheism helped me. I find that I need to know the truth, even if it is hard and cold.
What do you need? Start with that question and answer it. Test your answer and see if you were right. If not, ask it again. For me, this is my purpose, learning. It helps me get through some days.

Lots of things can contribute to suicidal behavior. First, let me stress that you should talk to someone, be it a school counselor, your parents, an adult mentor, or a trained psychologist. It sounds like you are having depressive episodes. Sometimes with depression, feelings of worthlessness, guilt, hopelessness, and extreme sadness come and go. Antidepressants and counseling can definitely help with the issues you are struggling with. I also want to stress the fact that suicide never solves anything. You were put on the earth for a reason and it may take some time for you to figure out what that reason is. I wish you the best of luck!

Depression is caused by different things and there are different kinds of depression too.
Ask yourself some questions; what has happened in your life that may have thrown you into a depression last year, are you eating healthy, getting some exercise, staying away from drugs, alcohol, and getting enough sunlight everyday (at least 15 minutes).
Next, if you are a teen, your body is going through a lot hormonally and physically. Depression is quite common in teens for this reason, that is why you need to keep yourself healthy (mentally and physically), keep busy, watch what you eat, get exercise and sun.
Sometimes depression is situational. In other words, something happens, like a death, and you become depressed over that, totally normal. But you have to go through a grief process and then feel better with time.
I strongly suggest you seek out counseling, for talk therapy, and get to the bottom of this very soon. You don't need to be in this pain, there is help out there for you.
Finally, if you don't know God, ask for His help, He is there for you. I will pray for you too, take care sweetheart.

I know what youre going through. I feel suicidal from time to time. I think a lot of people think about it, but don't or wouldn't actually act on it. If these thoughts are continous and don't stop you might have clinical depression. If they just happen at your lowest points then i think youre ok. If you ever feel like acting upon it you need to seek help. Call this number 1-800-273-TALK (8255), they should give you the guidance for you into what precautions you should actually take. Cheer up, I know these feelings feel like they will never go away and that suicide is the easiest of choices, but many people love you. They don't want you to go. In time things MUST get better, just hang in there.

It could be hormones or you could just be depressed. Have you tried seeing a psychiatrist? I would start there. If need be, they can put you on medication to see if it helps. I had a very unstable year and a half when I was about 16 and my psychiatrist told me that my hormones were going a little nuts (I was having periods every 2 weeks then a month then 3 weeks then for 2 weeks straight). It's really good to have someone you can talk to and wont tell you how to live your life.

It could be a hormonal imbalance. It could also be that you are having a bad time. From what I can see no-one has a good time in high school. There are so many problems at high school. THe sort of crap and bullying that goes on in high school would be enough to depress anyone. Hang in there and tell yourself that it is nearly CHristmas holidays then summer break and in a short time you will be out of there and can forget about it.

I've been there too. I understand that the wrong pressure causes just enough stress to make you feel that way. Not too long ago, I considered veering my car into a tree. You just have to try to stay positive.
