If an American volunteers to serve in the IDF does he lose his US citizenship, or are there legal loopholes?

Americans who are of Jewish decent can serve in the I.D.F.

with no problems.

If you live legally over 18 months in Israel you can be drafted

with no regards to being Jewish, British, American, French etc... etc ...

Unless you become a citizen of another country and abrogate your US citizenship, you are a US citizen.

you can be a citizen of both countries.
