Of course it is politically incorrect, in this day and age, to claim that the Vatican is akin to a criminal cartel. However, just because something is politically incorrect, doesn’t mean that it is not true.

The only reason why we deem statements such as these to be politically incorrect, is because we are living in an age where we accord religious dogma a level of respect, because it makes large portions of this population feel good and secure. Any statement or position that violates this security or certainty, no matter how true, will be deemed in poor taste or politically incorrect.

I, and I am assuming you as well, could care less about how diplomatic certain views are. Truth is paramount, and we should proclaim it no matter how offensive it is to someone else’s fragile sensitivities.

The Vatican does function in many ways that are similar to a criminal cartel. It is an environment that is highly secretive, and yet it claims to be doing a public service. Drug cartels are also covert, and operate under the pretense of being of some good to the community by providing a highly in demand product, when in reality they are self serving. The Vatican exploits the weakest and most vulnerable of people (i.e. children, the elderly, the sick, the undereducated, and the impoverished), and criminal enterprises do the same. The Vatican has sought and is still seeking hegemony over the hearts and minds of people by trying to censor its opposition, and criminal outfits are no different.

I can go on and on about the many parallels between the Vatican and criminal organizations. The point is that these comparisons should be drawn freely, without being tainted by the label of political incorrectness. Ideas and institutions are true or false, beneficial or deleterious. Whether they hurt someone’s feelings is purely irrelevant, for in the end, it is the unwillingness to express truth, which is the most hurtful thing of all.

Yes, true, it is not only politically but also in reality incorrect to suggest that the Vatican is a crime cartel. At the other hand I understand why it is written. There had been to many phantastically books about it in the near past.

No, if you believe that the Vatican resembles such a thing, then back it up.

The Vatican has been suggested to be many things such as a secret society, to the Great Satan, to one of the most corrupt organizations on Earth. Say what you want, back it up with fact.

I think it would be dubbed "intollerant" instead.

You can sit by me on the train to hell (dibs on the window seat).
