With his close ball control and his abillity to run through four or five players without losing the ball, can you name a player better then him. don't say ronaldo, because as good as he is his game is based on skinning the player with speed he couldn't take on three or more players in close contact like Hleb does.

chas c, gerrard and giggs can't take on four or so players in a small area like Hleb does, I'll take off my tinted glasses if you get your eyes tested, as your obviously so anti Arsenal that your talking a load of crap.

damian... what is funny is the example's you give yto suit your cause... fact Henry had speed and tricks.. Hleb dosen't have speed but can run through whole defences with the ball at his feet .. Ronaldo has the step over.. Look at Hleb's stats on completed passes, he leaves all the EPL in his wake.

hleb is def the best dribbler of a ball in the prem. unfortunately he seems to be very underrated, and as such doesnt get talked about in the media as much as players like fabregas, ronaldo, cole etc...Thats why so many people dont agree with you, as arsenal fans we get to see him more oftem than most and realise what he does for us more than others.If he was english or had ronaldos looks, the media would rate him more.
I do think ronaldo has excellent skills too tho - he uses his speed more, thats true, but it takes a lot of skill to keep the ball under control while running at that pace.
I think both him and hleb are up there for skilled players.

Isn't it funny how you say don't mention Ronaldo as his game is based on speed when the best player that you lot ever had was 95% about skinning players with his pace.
Anyway, Ronaldo beats players at any speed and often does so without even needing to touch the ball.
Wayne Rooney's ball control and technique makes most South American players go green with envy.
One blatantly obvious difference between Rooney and Hleb is that Rooney can control and carry the ball whilst holding off two or three burly defenders at the same time. Hleb can't as he's a bit too lightweight.
In fact, Alexander Hleb at 26 is no better than Ryan Giggs at 34.
Giggs at 29 would wipe the floor with him.

erm maybe not the most skilled but yeh as you say he has exceptional ball control so maybe he's the best at that in the epl yeh..but ronaldo is a better overall player. i must also add that we've only started seeing hleb do that this season.well i have anywa i havent seen too much of him so we'll see if he can keep it up this season and the next

even though im an arsenal supporter, i dont know if id say hes the most skilled in the epl (not ruling it out, but it needs more thought). hes playing well this season but so have shaun wright-phillips and joe cole - both seem to have the ball tied to their feet. ronaldo certainly has great skill, but his control suffers when he is on the move. he's better off of the first step (or feigned first step).
but - it seems he's finally settled at arsenal. hes playing much better than he did last season - as have a number of recent arsenal signings.

ronaldo just runs past players, a bit of skill for no such reason then looses it.

There is so much talent around - especially at Arsenal. The sublime skills he showed against Slavia Prague leave one nearly speechless and he gets my vote for the Arsenal.com player of the month. I hope he keeps it up and gets more credit. I am sure with Wenger, he will.
