My boyfriend and I were interested in making a lifesize manger to put in our front yard. Does anybody have any tips or ideas to help make this process a little easier?

If you could get some old pallets, the longitudinal 1 X 4's would already be nailed to 2 X 4's that you could use as legs.

My mate Joe is known to use one at Christmas, but pikey git pinched one in a stable he was squatting in. Try an orange box, tasty produce and a manger when they have all gone.

The real problem is where to get a virgin, wise men and a star where you live!

In keeping with the spirit of the season you could just steal one from a church.

Sorry my only serious suggestion is to go shopping while he builds it to avoid the cursing.

I guess even that one wasn't very helpful.
