Look at some celebs who are 20 years apart. When you are 25 and she is 23 you wont even see a diff.

Legal age of consent in Texas is 17 yrs old. If you are 17 or older and she is under 17 it is statutory rape. Even if you have her or her parents consent another party can notify authorities and you may be punished by incarceration and having to register as a sex offender, something that can follow you forever.

17 is the minimum legal age for sexual relations in Tx. With that small age difference I don't think anyone would be calling the police in an hurry but if somebody took a dislike to you you could be in trouble.

definatley talk to her parents when you are 18 i am only 14 but trust me i swear i am like 16 or something(maturity wise) but if you really do care for this girl the best thing for you and her to do is let both sides of the family know what is going on and what both of your guys' plans are together. It might be a bumpy road there but if you really want to be with this girl and you both are serious about it then take this advice and use it to the best of your abillity.

The age of consent is 17 but as long as there are less than two years between the two of you, there is nothing illegal about it.

I'd suggest you talk to her parents NOW - so that they know you want to keep things honorable. Too many kids are afraid of parents these days, and that's what makes parents to nervous about who their kids are hanging out with or dating!!
Dating her shouldn't be the problem. Having sex with her will be!!
