I have a plug socket.
Whatever I plug into that socket turns itself on periodically(It has done this on lots of appliances recently)
Am I haunted or is it a sign I should play Wii?

Play Wii!
Also, check the socket and see if it's attached to a light switch. Sometimes they are, and maybe your appliances turn on when then light switch gets flipped.

oh how weird
my fire has been doing that all day
it has an on off switch inside a lid and I keep blaming my kid
until she went to school and I realised it was doing it itself
I would take it as a sign to play the Wii though
my fire was telling me it was cold and I needed to warm up ... it was right

if it happens when the socket isnt being used - nothing plugged in...
then it deffinately means, time to play Wii.
