Most all food in the Asian family is cooked in the wok
During the wars they cooked on the top of 55gal drums
the wok is just inverted
I have both steel and cast iron...
I first thought you meant a roast...
You Know I must try it...
I will adjust my heat and have a lid to keep the heat in..
Since I have several covers I will drill a small hole to accept a thermometer..300 - 350F should work fine
turn the meat often should be fine...

You can stir-fry in a wok; but also steam fry; casserole (slow cook); deep fry (depending on the size of the wok); smoke and steam roast (need lid for some of these!)

I often marinate a small chicken in miso over night and then steam cook with the lid on - tastes excellent!

Well, yes! A wok is basically a large skillet used for mainly stir-fry, like vegetables, pork, beef, and chicken.

If you use a skillet to cook meat, why can't you use a wok?

Certainly, first it (the wok) has to be seasoned though.
If brand new, heat a little salt, then discard it.
Next add some cooking oil: peanut, sesame, or corn.
Meats need to be cut up small, in order to cook through.

For sure. Just be careful that you slice it really thin. If its too thick it will be overly done on the outside and not enough on the inside. I use chicken all the time.
