I am a former chef and a diabetic so I need to limit my carbs, so for me a nice bowl of hot oatmeal, and I have also used rye flakes they are no gluten.
In Chinese restaurants they have a dish called congee, a rice based porridge, eggs may be no gluten but are high in carbs, a fruit and yougart mix with a bit of granola is nice, I use palin Balkan style, honey and fresh or frozen fruit, I also make my own granola to limit the fat and sugar in processed ones,
