I was told that if you tell the lawyer that you believe in jurors prudence that they will let you off very quickly. Does anyone know what you can say to get out of jury duty?

First of all, the only way to get out of jury duty is if it is a hardship for you to go.. Like working and the only provider in your family. Or if you have a disability that limits you from sitting, standing, or walking ....
You can get it postponed.
Every citizen should report and do their deed to society.
Of course we don't like to go or want too but we should.
You will learn alot and it can be interesting.
Telling or saying anything that sounds as stupid as what you wrote is not going to fly.
They have heard these excuses before and can clearly see through them.
You don't want to piss off the judge so bite the bullet and serve the justice system like we all must do.
It won't kill you.
Think of it as a mini vacation from your job .....

Say what. If you have a hard time hearing or at least show that you have this problem, you are probably not getting onto the jury. An antorney would prove to be suicidal to allow a jurist who may not hear a critical piece of evidence. It could lead to a mistrial.

My dad is a minister and he's been called up for jury duty twice in the past four years! He was dismissed both times because of his religious beliefs. One was a drunk driving case, I can't recall what the other was. Good Luck!

commit a felony
wear a full nazi officer's uniform to the first day
tattoo "white power" on your forehead

There are tons of ways to get out of it. Just remember two things:

1) People have given and continue to give their lives to earn your right to actively participate in your own justice system.

2) You should never again complain about the justice system or express horror at how such-and-such trial was a joke because of the "stupid jury."

I think you're getting ahead of yourself. There is very little you can do go get out of reporting for jury duty. Now, if you're asking how to get out of serving as a juror for a particular case, during the interviewing process, what would most likely get you tossed out is any sort of conflict of interest.

In some states, you can get out of being on jury duty if you're a felon, or a non-citizen, or underage.

I don't recommend being a felon, by the way.

the racist comments are good, you can tell by looking at him is good too,

How about "if the case has made it to court , then it must have merits and he must be guilty or liable."

Seriously though, Jury Duty is a small price to pay for giving back to our system of freedoms.

If you can get your employer to write a note that you cant get time off. If that doesnt work tell them you want to be a juror because you can tell a guilty person a mile away!

You can say something like, "I think everybody is guilty, and they deserve the death penalty."
I'm not sure what jurors prudence is, and haven't heard of that excuse yet. Or you can stereotype, or say something that is definitely biased, that'll definitely get you thrown off of being a potential juror.

I always used to get out of it because I worked in a Law Office. They don't want anybody with legal experience.
PS: You'd better know what jurisprudence means before you try to use it as an excuse. I don't think it'll help you anyway.
