My congregation book study us tonight but I have no idea where we're at. No one seems to be home right now and I want to study beforehand. And it's currently snowing so I don't want to walk across the yard to go to my hubby's house where my PC, WT Library and other info is stored lol
Please help?

Agape,

Many thanks!
Darrol- currently JW's are studying "Revelation It's Grand Climax at Hand!". It's a verse by verse and chapter by chapter consideration if the Bible book if Revelation. It's an excellent study and is open to the public.

Sorry for my many typos lately lol. I've been using my ipod touch today and the keys are a little close together to say the least.

Anyhow... I leave in an hour and a half. I need to start cracking lol.
I've absolutely LOVED studying this book. I'm shy at commenting though... My bookstudy only has about 10 people in it (on a good day and several of those are babies/little kids).
Preparing is a MUST lol
Hope everyone has a great study whenever theirs may be held.

I'm just sitting down to do some of mine for tomorrow.

Darroll: No big secret. We gather in book studies once a week in individual homes and go over one of our publications in depth. Right now we're in "Revelation: It's Grand Climax at Hand". It's a verse by verse study of the book of Revelation. And thank YOU for asking a simple, curious question and not being insulting. Have a super evening. :)

Each local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses schedules five meetings each week, one of which is called 'Congregation Book Study'. While it may be conducted at the Kingdom Hall with the entire congregation in one group, this particular meeting is more typically conducted in smaller groups in private homes.

Each week, nearly every congregation around the globe will consider the same material from the same bible-based publication. In preparation, a Witness will look up many or most of the dozens of supportive Scriptures which are cited but not quoted in the study material, as well as the context for the quoted Scriptures. Thus, the fact that each week's lesson is scheduled globally allows a visiting Witness to know exactly which material to review and bring to the meeting whenever he visits another group, congregation, or even country.

In recent years, Jehovah's Witness 'Congregation Book Study' meetings have considered verse-by-verse discussions of the bible books of Isaiah and of Daniel. For most of 2007 and 2008, most Jehovah's Witnesses will be considering the verse-by-verse discussion of the bible book of Revelation, using the publication "Revelation - Its Grand Climax at Hand!". This publication and others are available at no charge to the public, by contacting any minister of Jehovah's Witnesses or by writing to one of the addresses here:
https://watch002.securesites.net/contact/submit.htm

For any non JWs reading this, the book study is something JWs do once a week. At present they are studying a book about Revelation. This study does not replace bible reading, it is supplementary and helps JWs know their bible in more depth.

Unsilenced Lamb:

Anyone who is honest will tell you that even after reading the bible cover to cover (especially Revelation), there are parts that are difficult to understand; therefore bible based book studies are available to JWs and anyone else wanting to learn more. As I've already said, JWs read the bible cover to cover AND study bible based books/magazines.

I am sorry I cannot be any help on your book because i do not know anything about it. But what about if you were a little bit independent and got yourself the "Bible in a year" Bible. That is great fun. Every day something to read about the Word of God.
