Some foods like skittles, cheez-its, cheetoz, doritos, etc. are so hard to put down. Is it just because I enjoy them so much, or do you think they put some sort of ingredient in them to get you hooked?

Salt, fat, sugar and artificial flavors.

Snack foods are designed (yes, designed) to appeal to your taste buds.

some foods are more addicting because of the way they look, taste, and smell. all of the foods that are addicting are high in fats, sugar, carbs, and other stuff that can seriously mess up your body. think about it, would you prefer a nicecarrot stick that is pefectly healthy for you over the local mcdonalds mcflurry? the choice is obvious. most people would go with the mcflurry because it is so tempting (looks, smell, taste, etc...) on the other hand, the carrot is good for you and it is not as tempting unless you dip in in ranch or something. just most of america (or anywhere else around the world) just prefer the more tempting foods. for me it is tacos...LOL:)

its just youre brain, when you eat something good it triggers your brain in to cravings and such things, i mean if thought for example, when eating oreos that they were gross its unlikely youd eat them again. the taste in those foods arnt ness. good for you but they are triggering your brain because you like them.

so you want them, so in a since they are addicting, but i hardly would say they are deff, and addiction since you can control if you eat those foods or not.
