You can get an idea of it's value from gunbroker or the blue book but what it really comes down to is demand. If someone wants it bad enough they will pay more than what the book says also if there is a story that goes with it (provable) or that it was owned by someone famous or of historical importance with documentation it can be worth a fortune. Alas the same gun without a story can be almost worthless. Just because it's old does not mean it's valuable. Your best shot is to disclose on Answers the make and model and let an expert respond to you (there are several knowledgeable people out there) what have you got to lose.
