Miss Dora started life as a Pandora (naughty little b*tch) but then she grew up and became a dignified ladydog and is now Miss Dora.
Her son Lou is big and sweet, reminds me of Lou Grant.. hard working kinda guy.. he's just a Lou sort of fellow.. name is short for New Year's Resolution.
Her daughter Nutterz- was born the runt with a very narrow head. She's now taller than her mom. My partner called her "Pinhead" so I named her Peanut but it just didn't fit and she became Nutterz. She lives up to her name completely and takes occassional crotch shots at the guys in the house. I'm sure eventually she'll grow up like her mom.
Rico the Samoyed- By the time we got my friend's kennelname, my kennelname and his litter designator/descriptor in there was no room for a "name". The designator is Emerald as he's from the Emerald litter. My partner's best friend's nicknames are Emerald and Rico... so it seemed a natural. Now, because of his personality, he's been called "Mr. Charming" and Rico Suave' really fits!!!

When I first adopted my dog, the rescue had given her the name "Tami." I didn't like the name (no offense to any Tami's out there) so my daughter thought of the name "Audrey" instead. We think it suits her very well.
Cooper also was named by his rescuer. I liked the name, but didn't realize that "Cooper" was the dog-name du jour. It fits him however.

We named our mostly Lab/Airdale mix Arliss because it's the name of the little boy in Old Yeller. We named our Beagle Brody just because we thought it was a cute name. However, we were considering naming him Peanut like your dog.

I wanted my kids to be involved with the selection of our dogs and I allowed them to name them as long as I thought it was cute. They named our dog Zoe after a character on the video game "SS Tricky " and they named our dog Hannah after Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel.

My dog's name is Flash. He is a basset hound and looks like flash from the Dukes of Hazard. I also have a English coon hound named Roscoe. Well you can't have one without the other.

<<< This is Velvet, I picked her name because her coat is smooth & shinny as black velvet.
My male Dobie is Blazer & when he was younger I'd call him Blazer 4X4 because he'd always make his way through the rest of the pack.
Ginger, female mutt. Her name was given to her because she is the color of a ginger snap cookie. Such a sweet little girl she is.
My last addition to our family is a rescued Husky & she was already named Cody when I got her. Since she is a senior dog I thought it be best for her to keep the name she has had for so many years.

my older dog's name is chase. and my mom named him chase because that is what she wanted to name my older brother but my dad didnt like it, so when we got the dog she suggested it and the name fit very well. my younger dog's name is sammy. we wanted to give him a sports related name and for a while his name was champ but we realized that with such an aggressive personality he needed a softer name to even him out so we stuck with sports and named him after Sammy Sosa

I liked the name Shadow along with one other. We decided to let the kids make the final decision. They picked Shadow. Now that she is older, we have come to realize that Shadow is quite obsessed with "shadows" of any kind. It's rather funny how that worked out :)
