Iraqi christians are suffering in iraq (im one of them) i do not know why the media put blind eye on the suffering. Before the war there was 3 million iraqi christians in iraq... after the war there is only 700,000 iraqi christians...some of them ran away to other countries (like me) and others died because they are christians....muslims are focring us to convert to islam, getkilled, or pay (al jzya) which is islamic law that forces non-muslims to play tax, ...so i decided to leave iraq because there is no way that im converting to islam im CHRSITian and proud...it is sad to leave iraq because christain iraqi including chaldeans and assyrians are native iraqis...its our home

Yes, I know about the persecution and suffering of my brothers and sisters in places like Iraq (and Iran and Sudan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc., etc). Sadly, the media do not care to show compassion - they only want to get rich and are politically biased. What's worse is that a lot of people in the West are so insular, so complacent, so apathetic, so content, they don't care about what happens elsewhere.

Please know that millions of Christians not only pray for their brothers and sisters who are suffering for Christ's sake, but also send money and give of their time to help. It can never be enough, but you are not alone.

Take comfort from Philippians 2 - 'Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, bing made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death - even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.'

God be with you and may he grant you the peace that surpasses understanding.

There's not question that it's terrible. The sad fact is, the media has many other things they think is "newsworthy"; they'd rather film carnage and destruction than anything else, where Iraq is concerned. That, and they'd rather paint U.S. soldiers in a bad light by making it look like they're indiscriminately killing every Muslim they see, than show Muslims killing Iraqi Christians, Iraqi Jews, or other Iraqi Muslims. Fortunately, some of us (in particular, those of us who have been to Iraq) know better. Hopefully, some day, more attention will be paid to your plight, and Iraq will be treated as more than just a source of footage fodder. I know that many Iraqi Christians had taken refuge up north, around Sulaimaniyah, when I was there. I hope the recent problems with the Kurds and the Turks hasn't made things worse in that area.

I've been aware if this for quite some time as I first heard about it from Bridgette Gabrielle on http://www.americancongressfortruth.org and I was absolutely shocked when I found out what Christians have to endure in the middle east at the hands of the so called practitioners of peace.

Our media is corrupt and will only report what they want us to know and they are for the most part anti-Christian and the whole media circus consists of mostly soulless degenerates who will outright lie or distort the truth to fit their agenda.

And to the best of my knowledge allot of Christians are absorbed by the impending promise of the Rapture so they don't think anything else is important and they don't care about what happens in the world because soon they know they won't be here so it doesn't matter.

I believe we should all stand together and Unite in the Spirit of our Lord God and try to help one another as much as we can even if we know for certain that we won't be here tomorrow we should still care what happens to each other today.

Please e-mail me and we can chat and if you want I can pray for you and other Christians in Iran because they are in the belly of the beast as far as I'm concerned.

God bless you.

Very few people are aware of the detail of what is happening in Iraq (myself included) because the only information we receive is through the media, and the media don't bother much with stories like yours. Your only course of action is to do what you have done here; bring peoples attention to the situation and write to as many politcians, christian organisations, amnesty international, newspapers and other media and welfare groups as possible to bring the issue into the open,

It is sad - i think it awful in any war that as hard as it for some people to grasp, there are innocents who are now caught in the middle.
Those are the ones i feel sorry for.
Good for you for staying strong to your faith and religion.
To be with God doesn't necessary need a religion but you get these radical fanatics and anyone who preaches hate and murder and genocide of other people/religions/countries won't be worthy of the Kingdom anyway.
You did a good thing but it is bad you were forced from your home.
God Bless.

I heard about it, and I'm sad. I heard over a mouth ago that a Christian was crucified. Its a very sad situation and I wish the American media would pick up on it. I would try to leave that area if I possibly could ,as a Christian. Bless you.

Yes, I've raised this question before. Only the likes of Bush and Cheney could make the leadership of Saddam Husein look good. I'm not Christian, but this is a great tragedy to all humanity. Perhaps they will get their day in court.
