Yes and yes I would go again. I just recently retired after 34 years and they almost recalled me last month to go again. I think though that really you will get varied answers and as I tell everyone me deploying and being an E-8, no children, is different than an E-4 or E-5 with a wife and family deploying. I grew up in the military before joining it so I know first hand the affects of a father's frequent, long, extended absences on the family and for a mother I am sure it is even worse. So I always tell anyone that for me it is an easy thing but they should not judge everyone else by that. Quite often it is just the opposite for the rest and their families and they all deserve all the support that they can get as well as bonuses, benefits, and anything else.

I was deployed to Baghdad for OIF 1; and served at 3BCT 1AD's Bulldog FOB, then Camp Falcon, then BIAP. If I had a choice, I would not opt to go again, but for family reasons, not because I didn't enjoy doing my job or serving my country.

they're DOD medals. i don't have Air tension Regs however the army Reg says you will get the two. on condition that they're DOD i could wager the prevalent is an analogous. it is likewise in the Reg: (3) below no concern will workers acquire the Iraq marketing campaign Medal, the international conflict on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the international conflict on Terrorism provider Medal, the Iraq marketing campaign Medal, or the defense force Expeditionary Medal for an analogous action, term or provider. perhaps it rather is a boo boo or maybe the time-physique counts as in ordinary terms a million deployment. in case you do the PPW all they are able to do is say no and use what I pasted as their prevalent. If that's due you will not get by not asking. good luck

Not I, but I sure wished I could be. Unfortunately my turn is over and the younger/healthier must carry on.

But this disabled Sergeant does salute each and every one of you.
