There is no case to rest. There are only two positions--there is a God or there is no god. Either of theses basis assumptions is unprovable. One can't prove there is a God, on can't prove there isn't a god--these are philosophical basis axioms--and as such can not be proved--they have to be taken on faith. My faith is in the fundamental properties of matter--I do believe in evolution--but no belief in God is simply faith based--the unprovable can't be proved. The other position requires the use of magic for lack of a better word in direct opposition to the fundamental properties of matter. Yet--if one believes in an all powerful God then the believers belief is a logical extension of that basic axiom. There are different logical deductions that can be made from the basis axioms and are in my opinion the root cause for the existance of various religions, but the basic axiom--there is a God is likewise afaith based position--and can't be disproved. We both believe what we believe in based soley on faith.

The uniformity of all deities and myths, establish that they are all real or all false.

All Gods require faith, have no tangible evidence for existence and have believers who are ready to kill to maintain that faith.

If there was a deity that was different from the rest, especially relating to evidence, then you would have a case. But there isn't. This indicates that they are all false.

We cannot prove the Leprechauns don't exist, but are willing to accept, that based on a lack of evidence its not worth worrying about.

The same applies to God, Allah, Zeus or Vishnu.

Depends on how you define your "God" (assuming there is one). Actions speak louder than words...Why hasn't evil ceased to exist? Why do various RANDOM folks that have done nobody any harm have to suffer from diseases that can't be cured? Why do babies and less frequently mothers die in the birth process? Assuming your loving God exists...I submit that he/she/it doesn't by the sheer lack of action to eradicate the continuing suffering and confusion of humanity. PEACE!
