God does need for us to appreciate all he has done. Why else would God create? Why does an artist paint or a composer write music? Is it not for others to enjoy ?

I never understood that either. Maybe our brains should have never evolved the way they did - we're obsessed with finding answers, so much even that we make up our own answers just so we can feel fulfilled. God is one of those answers.
The ironic thing about God is that we were never created by him, but he was created by us. And so only people can acknowledge God's existence. If this God really existed, he would have been acknowledged by any living species.
But here's one for the believers. If God was the creator, then why do people still have to start a family (have children) the "traditional" way? Babies are created that way and so the creators are the ones performing the action that causes for that baby to be created. So people are the real creators.
If God was the real creator, babies would just pop up, like in the Sims 1 game...

God is worthy to be praised. Yes, H created all and He created us. He owns everything on this earth. We only borrow things. Why shouldn't the one that made us and gave us so much be praised ? The day MAY come when you will be forced to bow before Him and know then what it will be like to never have Him again. We will all bow, but, Christians will only have to explain the sins they haven't ask forgiveness for... Then off to Heaven we go and off to hell the others go Where will you go ? THINK about it, WILL YA ?

Yes, we all are special in a loving Gods eyes that he loved us enough to give us life: to see a sunrise, a sunset, to look into a newborn babys eyes and absolutely know without a doubt there is a loving God, or to feel the warmth of the sun, or the sound of the ocean pounding on the beach, or the bitter cold of winter, or fresh fallen snow on an open field, to have given us hearing to hear the rustle of fall trees, or sight to see fall trees and their colors, or smell to smell a fresh cooked steak on a grill and taste to taste it.
Yet, in our pointed little human mind, we don't have enough love in our heart to say "Thank You God".
That's what is seems like to me.

I can acknowledge that I was created. My parents had trouble conceiving naturally, so they went to a doctor. The doctor took some stuff from a cup that my dad filled and added this stuff to my mother's stuff to create me. And on the 7th day, they all rested.

By such logic, one could say the same thing of respecting and acknowledging one's parents. I mean, it's not like they actually NEED you to respect them, right? And parenthood can't be that hard, given that billions of people have done it. So why treat them with anymore respect than the bum on the street?
Parents don't truly gain anything in a practical sense from their children respecting them. It is the children who benefit from giving that respect, because it allows them to learn and grow into better people.

Similar to Steve Jobs' work with Apple. If you love your iPod you let him know, right (you do keep downloading new tunes) ? Get on the phone to Mr. Jobs right now and LET HIM KNOW.
What you take for granted can be lost in a moment. G-d should be praised for every breath we take. What's wrong with being grateful?

It does seem a bit childish and egotistical for a 'loving god' to demand to be worshiped above all else but punish you with eternal torment for not doing so.

The question really is why shouldn't everyone want to praise him for it?
