Because the siucide bombers will slaughter anyone who tries to break it off with them. I'm convinced many Muslims must be terrified by their scarier elements.

Islam has denominations also, Muslims just say sects instead of denominations whether they take about Islam or christianity or judaism. Each faith has it's share of sects/denominations. And all those denomiations are based on ideological differences from the mainstream one.
Suicide bombing is a political issue. Yea the west says they want "72 virgins" and "go to heaven" and all that propaganda crap. If someone wanted virgins then he go start dating not go kill himself. When you destroy a person's home, bomb his village, and kill all his family, then what do you expect him to do if not come back at you in what way he sees possible. This is a political and survival issue. Do you know US gives more aide to Israel then all of Africa combined? If you want to stop these suicide bombings then stop funding state terrorism (israel) and stop invading Muslim lands (afghanista, iraq, etc).

Actually, they do have "denominations" in a way. There are Sunni & Shia among other minor sects of Islam. They do not condemn the suicide bombers because they are not exclusive to an individual sect of Muslims and they are being held hostage by the militant group of their religion. They are simply afraid.
I believe Bernard Lewis once said, "Not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslim"

I cannot accept your opening premise that "Christians differentiate the crazies from the more same by DENOMINATIONS." There have always been and still are people who take their own interpretation of Christianity (and other faith traditions) too far and these people claim many different denominational affiliations.
A few examples:
The Crusades
The Inquisition
Slavery
The Iraq War
Bombing Abortion Clinics
Denying Health Care
Every group has members that go too far--it's up to the group to define itself and what is outside of acceptable behavior.

This is not a Sunni or Shia issue.
This is a Wahabist issue.
To make a rough parallel:
Wahabist=conservative Christian. There are Wahabists in both Shia and Sunni sects. As with conservative Christians, *most* Wahabists are incredibly wonderful people. However, there is a very vocal and destructive minority who preach the "death to the West", "fight the Crusaders" etc.
All of the suicide bombers come out of corrupted Wahabist mosques with firebrand preachers. Unfortunately, the only way to "mark" the crazies is by the mosque and imam, not by denomination.

I believe on some level most Muslims feel if the terrorists can further Islamic goals, then so be it. The end justifies the means.

I think Gandalf pretty much hit it, unfortunately the people that the would need to alienate are the ones who will turn on you and bomb your family. Sort of like why many don't want to testify against gang members or the mafia. I'd say these nuts are far scarier though.
