Judas, it is mentioned, was Christ's BEST disciple.
Christ hismself chose Judas as a disciple.
Now if Judas actually betrayed Christ, then Christ's choice of BEST disciple was awfully wrong. And if Christ made wrong decisions, how can he be GOD?
Some will conveniently blame the devil for this. In such a case, Christ was too weak or unintelligent to protect his BEST disciple. How can he be GOD?
I will give you the answer to this - but first let me hear it from you (You who pretend to be so religious and put on a fastidious act, without understanding the true basis of your religion at all)

Surely my question has more depth to it.
Let's not base replies on guesses. Who said Judas went to Hell? Who put you inside Judas mind to analyse what he had wanted to do?? Let's not assume facts. Ask others is you do not know.
I am not a Christian - but I promise my questions can stir many a Christian mind to wake up.

If Christ was not God while on earth - he was praying to some God. And after death, if he himself became God, then Christianity should be having two Gods !! Please edit your reply if you have an answer.

You call me pitiful. I KNOW you are pitiful. So now that we are even, can we look at the question please.
As I said, YOU and I are not important here. Let's leave personal innuendos out of all this please.

One strange thing about the show of faith that you make. You cannot do any better than to quote from the Bible. And you have so many bibles that the truth is lost in them.... not to mention the many translations and abridgements that your book has gone through.
Why don't you use your head and think? In your Jesus, you probably had the strongest example of a being that ever lived - yet you are blinded due to the systematic brainwashing by the clergy.
How far away from the truth can many of you be. Pray and think and the answer is in your head. Look outside you and there is nothing but confusion.

I always felt rather sorry for Judas. It was God's will to have Jesus be betrayed by Judas and yet Judas gets so much stick for it. He really didn't have much choice.
I agree with you.

Sigh*
You know when you come off confrontational like this you will not get any decent answers
Also you already have an answer in mind so any that do not line up with that answer you will scoff at.
Now I'll give you a bit of information about Judas
Judas was picked but he was not considered the best disciple..Unless you are referring to the Gospel of Judas. Which has not been completely authenticated yet.
Judas though was in charge of the money for the group. That may or may not have given him a bad light is some peoples eyes. Judas was very devote to Christ. He was very devote to the movement that Christ was about. He believed though that Christ was going to throw off the oppression of the Romans and the Jews. He really believed that Christ was going to start a New Kingdom Here on Earth.
Judas only "betrayed" Jesus so as to prompt Christ to action. He was "chosen" by God because of his intense desire to force a military change.
Also it is not Scripture that vilifies Judas it is the media of then and now. Its done that way because of the lack of understanding. If you notice Judas gave back the money but they could not take it as blood money.
Also Christ was not too weak to with stand up to the devil it was part of the plan. Yes Christ knew the plan but knowing still does not make the fact you are going to be nailed to a tree any better.
So is that the answers you were looking for?
Do you think no one ever read the gospel of Judas or wondered about him? Are you the first to discover such things?
No you are not I have spent a long time learning about Judas and the more I find the more I realize how hard it was for him to do what he did.

If the bible says that Jesus was slain before the foundation of the world. Then if it was a plan, then Judas must have been chosen as the scape goat. Who else would he choose except Judas not only was he Jesus best friend and His best disciple, who other would lay down His life for his friend. No greater hath any man than to lay down his life for a friend, would you call such an act of suicide. Like running out in the street to push one of your children out of arms way and giving you life for your child. Again at the last supper after Jesus gave the sop to Judas, told him " what ever thou doest, do it quickly". This makes me feel that Judas knew what Jesus meant, that there was a divine plan. If it had not been Judas then another would have been chosen. There had to be a way for the Crucifixion to take place, but I would think that Judas could have been an instrument in the bringing forth of the ONE that gave His life for our salvation.

Judas wasn't Jesus' best disciple. That part is crap, try Peter being his favorite.
Secondly, Jesus always knew he was going to die and knew he was going to be betrayed by one of his own followers. He even told Judas that at the Last Supper. The whole thing was prophesy, therefor Jesus had to pick the disciple who was going to betray him it was the only way that the events could play out in the way that they needed to play out.

First of all, Christ was NOT God while He was on earth. Secondly, Judas had to betray Jesus to fulfill scripture. Had Judas not done what he did, Jesus might have never gone to the cross, and died for our sins. Everything in Jesus's life fulfilled the old testament prophesies about Him. Judas was just a key player in helping to fulfill prophecy. That doesn't excuse what he did, though.

You are really pitiful. Jesus did things to bring glory to the Father. His plan was for a disciple to betray Jesus and he did just that. I don't think Judus was His best disciple, he was the treasurer. Jesus foretold of His betrayal in JOHN 6 :70 -71 Judus returned the 30 pieces of silver before he hanged himself. The silver was used to buy a paupers' cemetery. If I had to guess, I would say Peter WAS the best one. Of course, this is my opinion, just as you stated "your opinion"

Judas was never considered His "best" disciple or apostle. He was never part of the inner circle that were closest to Christ (James, John and Peter). In fact, you would be hard pressed to find anything positive that Christ said to Judas or concerning him.
Joh 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name; I guarded those whom You gave to Me, and not one of them was lost, except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
Judas was the "son of perdition". It was determined before he was ever born that he would be the betrayer, the one given over to Satan.
Joh 13:26 Jesus answered, It is he to whom I, having dipped the morsel, shall give it. And dipping the morsel, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, son of Simon.
Joh 13:27 And after the morsel, then Satan entered into that one. Then Jesus said to him, What you do, do quickly.

Because Jesus had to die for our sins, Jesus could have saved himself, In the beginning was The Word and The Word was with God and the Word was God, so he didn't have to. He chose to. No one takes my life, I lay it down of my own accord. Thus, He fulfilled His purpose, Stopping Judas was not the desired choice, nor His plan.He came to do the will of the Father. He did it for each of us. Eternally Thankful.

Satan also chose Judas as his best disciple because he knew Judas would give in to temptation. Look at the whole picture.

If Judas didn't betray Jesus, things wouldn't have worked out. Jesus knew Judas would betray him; Jesus came to die, so he didn't make a wrong decision. Jesus did a lot of things to fulfill prophesy, and one of them said that his friend would betray him for thirty pieces of silver, which Judas did.
