I must be different them most people... I had no problem with my neighbors using my bin if it was not full... one time when I was having construction done on my house and had to get one of the big bins I let my neighbors put in big stuff that they were needing to get rid of.... and you know I never even asked them to chip in for the cost of the bin....
now it would be different if they were overloading your bin and the city was charging you extra for the pick up but that does not happen to often... if it is to heavy for the truck to pick it up they will just leave it full......

In our city, it's a $10,000 fine if you are caught and convicted of putting trash in anyone else's garbage bin or can. Because of this, the smaller trash cans at bus stops are full of people's 'extra trash' from their houses, or they'll just sit their bags (BIG bags!) next to the light pole with the small trash bin on them. It's very NASTY, but it does cost money to get rid of your garbage, and you SHOULD be yelled at, at the very least, for putting your garbage in someone else's bin, whether it's garbage day or not. No, no one has ever yelled at me for doing that, because I make sure our garbage goes into our dumpster only!

No, I have never had that problem. I've had to put the neighbor's trash back into their own bins. And I've had people take stuff from mine to keep - you know "Trash to one, is treasure to another"!

No but just to show them how nice you are I would take their garbage and put it all in my bin

No, but I have had a neighbor who would purposely take their dog onto my front yard when the dog had to "go".....I stole their newspaper a few times so it was all even by the time I moved. Karma, Karma, Karma!

no but my sister had a neighbor down the road put her garbage in my sisters bin and then she(my sister) took it out and sit in the road

No, because I would never put trash in some one else trash bin, that is wrong! And if they put in back in your yard: you deserved it!
