I can always distinguish spanish from other romantic languages because native speakers always speak very fast and sharply cut off words...like it was just slammed in a door...
That and I'm in Spanish III.....
...It's horrible listening to American Spanish.....it's unenthusastic droning with no undulations in tone.

Most of the Latin languages (apart from French) sound terrible to me, as good as Anglo-languages. I do not even fairly like paying attention to American English and it is my 'first' language. Other languages that hassle me are German, Thai, Tagalog, Portuguese and Vietnamese. However, Mandarin and Cantonese sound phonetically well to me. No concept why. I suppose it is only a subject of selection and opinion. Spanish total whilst spoken adequately isn't horrible. But whilst ladies are status round speakme smack, going for walks their mouths off in Spanish, yeah, that is disturbing.

Well, this question is a little difficult, at least for me, because really I speak spanish, not english, and, to hear it is so common for me. All right, you could recognize spanish because at english, french, or another romance languages, each pronunciation changes in some words, for example, it's not the same «a» in car and «a» in safe, I hope you understand me, but at spanish, you always have to pronounce at same. This is one of the most important reasons, and, yes, we can speak as fast as we want, sometimes, even ourselves can't understand us, jajaja, greetings, and your star!!!

i speak it since i was born, and i really like it because i think you can express more things in less words and yes, i do think spanish is spoken really, really fast and other good thing is that you don't have to say the complete word, with the exact same sounds or the complete phrase..you just say some words and they catch the idea
Si-se
No-na
obvio-obveo
and some words like that
also one good thing is that you can really identify is someone is a boy or a girl..

the "el" and "la" give it away as spanish for me. I think it sounds like sing-song enligh. not romantic like french or grating like german, or exotic and foreign like arabic that sounds more like music than language. i did take spanish in high school and i'm used to hearing it, so that can be why i know "el" and "la" mean spanish and why it sound to me "like english" more than other languages do.
i understand the question because i speak russian, and one time i heard a man speaking a russian dialect (not russian, some sister language) on TV and i was like "huh? so that's what russian sounds like to people who don't understand it!"

I think Spanish is a very sexy language.
I recognize it by the rolling Rs and the vowel pronunciation.
And yes, I think it is spoken quickly.
