I don't think that's a good idea. You have to figure out a way to feed them seperate.

Very bad idea. Each food is made for the type of animal. Dog food for dogs and cat food for cats. Cat food is very high in fat and at time ash which is not good for the dog. Both can cause harmful effects on the dog over time. Dog food does not provide the correct amount nutrients that a cat needs. So DO NOT MIX. If your pets are eating each others food then find away so they don't. Or be prepared to deal with effects later on.

yes, they like to eat each other's food but really the reality (that they don't understand) is that it is bad for them. Each animal (like a human) can react differently. Ultimately, you may end up having to seperate them at dinner time. Each animal's food is developed specifically to cater to the individual animal's needs. Specifically, vitamins, and minerals, protein and corn or veggies. While some may only have a mild stomach irritation, or develop a food allergy, get constipated, or worse the complete opposite (i don't know how big your dog's are, but nothing is worse than a large dog with a runny, poopy butt!) but over time they are not getting the important daily allowance of essential vitamins and minerals that they should be and the long term effects could be worse. Try to seperate them, or at least feed them in different rooms, away from one another.

SOMEWHAT BAD. Cats need different type so food than dogs. Dogs eat the same things as humans, fruits and veggies, meat and grains. Cat EAT MEAT. They are still closely related to their wild sisters.

Don't mix their food, feed them in different locations ....even different rooms and the cats food smells really strong so it probably attracts the dog. stinky stuff.

Bad Idea. It is okay for a cat to eat dog food once in awhile but it is not a good idea for a dog to constantly to eat cat food. Cat food is made of up completely different viatmins that can mess up a dogs stomach.

I suggest that you start feeding them separately.

It's NOT good for them to eat each other's food... So you should stop right now...They might not show any signs of it hurting them now but eventually it will..My cat once in a while used to get a hold of my dog's food and she would break out in sores all over her body..SO stop

No, it's not okay. Cat food is way to rich in protein for dogs and dog food is too low in protein for cats.
Eating cat food can damage a dog's liver (I think that's what it was) and it isn't good for either one at all. You really need to have them eat their own food.

In generally cat food isn't very good for dogs because the salinity, but I know, it's impossible to prevent, that your dog eat the cat food. So take care, that there is water enough for your doggie, so that his kidneys stay healthy!

Dogs and cats have different requirements in foods. They should eat their own food only.

there really is a reason why it's called dog food and cat food - not just dog/cat food. cat food is too high in protein for dogs (can cause organ failure) and vice-versa. feed them separate foods and keep the cat food out of the dog's reach.

An unequivocal no. Cat food is higher in animal protein, fat and taurine. Feeding cats dog food regularly can result in malnourished cats. Feeding dogs cat food regularly will not only result in overweight dogs but sick dogs.
