Should people help fundies by explaining some truths they seem to overlook or just let them realise their mistake?
Yes.
I see it as my duty to bring as many people as possible into the light of reality.
The Invisible Sky Critter fantasy is a delusion that will NOT stand up in a court of law or any other theater in which Logic and Reason are applied.

I think people should mind their own business.
I don't go out of my way to correct people of other religions of their errors. It is not my place to interfere with your private relationship with your gods.
You call it "help" I call it "arrogance" that you think you know what is in my heart and best for me. HOW dare you?
If you spent half as much time taking care of your own soul, minding your own business, and living your own life, you wouldn't have time to get in my business.
I may be mistaken, I may know the truth, I may have a soul or not,.It is not your place to instruct me. I am an adult.
Leave me alone!
I am more in danger than you are. I can lose my job or be mistrusted simply for NOT praying in public. I can be sneered at and corrected by people who don't have a clue what my life is like.
I don't do that to YOU. Try not to be right about everything and learn to be happy, accepting, forgiving, generous, and loving. Jesus might recognize you as his own.

Just let us wander thru the wilderness on our own, struggling for the truth, not knowing where to turn next, thru trial and error failing and falling until at last, out of desperation, out of sheer agony, we turn to the wisdom of the ages located here on Yahoo Answers and find the truth that's been alluding us, and then we will have you and the lord to thank for the shower of wisdom you, and those like you, have generously bestowed upon our wretched souls.

Should ppl help christians by explaining some truths they seem to overlook or just let them realise their mistake
of not believing their souls can be saved on their own?
fits just as well
even better in fact, cause christians believe they need Christ and cant do it without him.... let me ask you this then, how did Christ do it without him already there to help him? wrap your head around that one eh

That's kind of an insulting way to put it, don't you think? What if someone who believed in some religion different than yours told you about the truths -you- were overlooking, and said they were just trying to show you how to save your soul.
Most people already know what they believe. Who are you to tell them they're wrong just because -you- believe something else?

Really? Wow, thanks, for pointing out what I've overlooked. All this time I was an atheist because I thought my soul could be saved on its own! But you've rescued me from perdition! Thank you thank you!

As an atheist, I know no souls exist, and i need no saving from some imaginary sins that priests invented to make people feel guilty. I make no mistakes. You do! I beleive nothing. I insist upon knowing, not merely believing.

Atheists usually understand such things just fine. Maybe you should get someone to explain to you why you should be at least a little doubtful about whether you even have a soul to begin with...

Unfortunately, you are under the impression that we are trying to save our own souls.
you have been lied to.
I love it when religious people assume there are truths that Atheists haven't considered or overlooked. This typically isn't the case. The truth is that we require a higher level of evidence for belief than the average believer.
Indoctrination, emotional pleas, and subjective experiences aren't enough for us. Why are they enough for you?
