Just you two?? get some great steaks like Ribeye or T-bone and broil them. Serve with a really neat dark green leafy salad, tomatoes, and great dressing. Make it a very romantic dinner.

Christmas Eve I will have leg of lamb sandwiches and the great salad!!

I've been doing a bone-in ham with a beer glaze the last few years. Two different masheds, one with Yukons and reds and garlic cream cheese, one instant. And 2 different stuffings. One homemade, one Stove Top. Bacon gravy, green bean casserole, and a random veggie, usually steamed asparagus with hollandaise. And a mixed green salad with balsamic vinaigrette and feta. That all is for 2 people, but we'll have leftovers to get us through for quite a while.

Everything's pretty simple and a lot can be started a day or two before. And by spreading out the cooking, the dishes in the sink won't overwhelm you. You can have a more relaxed Christmas Eve.

The basics, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, rolls, egg nog, green bean casserole, there are a lot of recipes out there. Go to Taste of Home for some recipes, they have some great easy ones that should help you out.

if you are not ready to cook for Christmas, order the completely cooked dinner from your local grocery store or catering place--take all the food out of the cartons, put it in your own pans, light a lot of food scented candles in the kitchen, and pretend that you are the best chef in the world:)

Have a very WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS!
