Is the pain or blood subsiding?

When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I was in pain for two weeks. My face blew up like a beaten chickmunk. I was sick as a dog.

My brother, he was fine the day his came out. That jerk!

So it depends on you. Just make sure you are getting better/feeling better each day. If symptoms get worse, see medical attention. If you are concerned, anyways, talk to the dentist.

I agree that you may have a dry socket. The same thing happened to me, and going back to the dentist is definitely the right thing to do.

The dentist will probably pack the cavity with gauze soaked in clove oil (eugenol). The clove oil takes care of the pain immediately, BTW.

Go back to the dentist! It's possible that the whole tooth didn't come out

It shouldn't hurt anymore after seven days. Through my experience, I think the maximum's three days. You should call your dentist, and do what they say. If it still hurts, then call them again to schedule an appointment to check it.

7 DAYS IS JUST TOO LONG FOR A TOOTH TO STILL BE HURTING SOMETHING ELSE IS WRONG. SEE A DENTIST.
