free! do it yourself. :)

i got a boxer puppy when he was 4 weeks old, and i potty trained him myself.

i suggest buying an expandable kennel, first off.

when you arent watching the puppy, or he isnt outside, put him in the kennel and leave him for awhile..

people might think this is cruel but in actuality, it isnt at all.

it teaches discipline, because dogs will not mess where they sleep.. (its a proven fact)

so, if they are in the kennel, they shouldnt mess. you also have to make sure they are in the kennel at night, though..

we did this with my puppy until he was completely potty trained, and then eventually let him sleep on his dog bed outside of the kennel.

not only has he never messed in the house, but he also doesnt get on the furniture, doesnt run away, and walks right next to me when on a leash.

it teaches them who is the "alpha male" in this sense.

:) good luck.

Watch the Dog Whisperer videos and you will learn how to train your puppy for free. Expect accidents and dont get upset with your puppy. Limit where your puppy can go inside your home until you have potty trained him/her.

The best potty training advice can be found here. It works wonders and only takes a few days to do.
I know because I have used it on all my puppies. It is magic I tell you.

Potty training can be done by yourself by making sure it has regular intervals of going outside. It takes about 1 to 2 weeks to accomplish but its best done by the owner.

You have to potty train him yourself. You train him in your home where you will be living with the dog. Use the crate and teach him that he needs to go outside. There aren't classes to housetrain.. It would be very hard to teach that in a class situation.

You cannot take him to be potty trained. Training programs for puppies at Petco and PetSmart are mainly for socialization and to help you teach your pup basic commands. Housebreaking has to be done in the home by YOU.

You're going to have to do the potty training yourself unless you are rich and can pay someone else to do it for you... but, they would have to keep your dog for a few months

a lot of people potty train on there own. google places in your area that do dog training. i know a lot of pet stores do it, or will have flyers for people who do. buy books on how to train your dog instaed of paying for classes. a trainers not going to be there everytime your dog has to pee, ya know. i think your better off saving your money for obiedience classes.

You can't take him anywhere to get potty trained, that is something you yourself have to do.

Normal training classes run anywhere from 50 dollars to 200 dollars or more per course.

I suggest you do more than potty training.
having a puppy means more committment than you think.
here is what you need to consider:
exercise, discipline, and affection.
puppies also need rules, boundaries and limitations, unless you don't mind them demolishing your house.
you need to exercise your pup daily, and leash training is essential to your pup's training and daily care.
you will need to sign up for obedience classes, and this will also help you to understand all of your pup's basic and extensive needs.
do not think a pup does not need care or attention. they need a lot of care and tons of attention!
this is something you need to consider, besides just potty training. if you do not have time to properly care and train, please reconsider.
a puppy is like a child. you do not EVER leave them alone at home for extended periods of time, or even short periods of time. it's not good for you, or for your home, and especially not good for your pup, if you plan on building a relationship with your pup.
you will need to consider chew toys, food, vet visits/bills, bedding, and time to train and walk your pup.
one day, the pup will be dog, and if you don't properly train your pup now ,your dog will be more than you can handle.
