I am not a big fan of catholicism. I think it promotes idolatry and prayer rituals, which are against GOD's will. From a philosophical point of view, that seems rather hypocritical. It sure doesn't help that I came from a Catholic family either.
Ironically enough, the only demonomation of Christianity that doesn't promote idolatry through a worship of Christ are the Jehovah Witnesses. Following in at a close second are LDS, because I have had nothing but good experiences with people from their church on a personal and professional level.

They do have the best architecture, them Catherlicks.
I only see the quonset hut Babtiss churches here in Mississippi.
You even get ads on tv and radio here from steel companies who promise to build churches fast.
All of this was quite a shock to this New Orleans boy upon arrival. The New Orleans Catholics are so live/let live. I remember Archbishop Rummel declaring racism and segregation an excommunicable sin when I was a kid. Pretty brave words during dangerous times, and he was always out among the people.

The kind that doesn't act like they are BETTER than anyone else just because of their faith and salvation. I think the lead singer of Casting Crowns said it best...
"I don't think it bothers the world that Christians sin... I think it bothers them that so many act like they don't"
My name is Abigail. I am a Christian. I am not perfect. I give some really gutta brained answers and ask some pretty gutta brained questions. I have two kids out of wedlock. I fornicate regularly(planning on getting married finally very soon)... but when it comes down to it, I will never deny my faith, and I believe in the forgiving power of the cross.
Imma head back to Polls & Surveys again. Been a nice visit.
Peace out.

The kind one. I've been in different denominations churches and I find that the loving kind Christian is found randomly throughout. I have met only the occasional kind hearted, loving, not judgemental Christian who is encouraging and loving. Above all, loving. No matter what denomination I run into, believe it or not, the loving Christian isn't always found easily. But they're there. And to all of those kind, loving Christians out there, I say, Thank you and keep obeying God!

I like Methodists, I guess. I think I like disenfranchised independents better but they are not exactly a brand, are they? Methodists take a lighter approach, do not mind humor, and their ministers will do things they like even if they are "undignified." I like that. They do not wander about trying to convert the masses, but they are ready to offer their support when needed - they are a good example of the kind of calm, happy folks you might ask for the secret to their happiness - which is what that "gifts of the spirit" thing is partly about, isn't it?

while you're refering to Christians that are in a band, as against a band that sings christian song, i might vote fantastically on Petra. Avalon is quite sturdy additionally, yet then there are a great type of sturdy ones available.

Although I like the "name" brand when I can afford it, I tend to go for generic. All the same great taste as name brand Christians, but without the high cost of denomination.

Mine's catholic too. Not just because I was raised catholic, but because they built a lot of great churches and cathedrals that are nice to tour. (I am an architect and love old buildings).
