you can have milkshakes, just don't suck through a straw.
when they say bland, they mean nothing hot or spicy. regular food is fine, just nothing hard, crunchy, tough, etc...
you will be fine!

tuna salad.
plain white or brown rice.
macaroni and cheese. (baby shells or small macaroni noodles) Cook the noodles more than you normally would, until they are very tender, so that they won't require chewing.
also thick soups are very filling - potato soup, pea soup, enchilada soup
for dessert, ice cream!

Well, I didnt listen to the dentist. I started eating solids as soon as I got out of the denist office. You should be fine, I know I was.

If you don't feel like cooking go to Boston Market and get their sides combo, but it won't be bland.

Wow you are really stuck. Here are a few ideas.......French toast [ its soft] , mashed potatoes , milk shake, squash,spaghetti with sauce, oatmeal, no all at once of course.
